There was no cable throughout the hotel which had been down for 3 weeks. We were not able to get a discount due to booking through Travelocity. I believe that the information should have been communicated to us to give us a choice of whether to book the room at the rate we paid. The weather was rainy which made for spending more time in the room. They offered a DVD player but that did not work either.

I have been coming here for years. No TV because they didnt pay bill. Room was filthy. Sheets were dirty, the floor unswept. When we needed new towels etc., we had to go get them. Stayed 4 days, no service. It was so sad. No offer of reduced price due to no tv.

We loved our stay here! The rooms are the perfect mix of clean and cute meets beachy and economical. The beachfront rooms are comfortable, and we loved having access to the beach and an amazing view. The fire pit area and pool are bonuses! We will definitely return!

Put us in a room above the work garage. Lots of noise in the evening. Cable was out. Trying to pick a dvd was a joke. Ended up with two movies I didn’t ask for. Sounded like someone’s toilet was running - walls must be thin as you can hear what’s going on in the room next door. Between that and the noise down stairs in their work garage made our night miserable. Was there for our 47th anniversary and the night was. Horrible. Got what we paid for our room it was not worth it. I’d like a refund please

The check in was very nonchalant and not very professional. That should have been a clue. When we got to our room it was evident that the property was neglected and in disrepair. The LVT floor had chips in the corners, there were holes in the ceiling and dry rot on the deck. We realized that the TV cable was out and called the front desk. We were told that it was down and there was no ETA on when it would be fixed. It was only after that that I noticed several recent reviews stating the same issue. It’s obvious that the property staff are covering up this issue. No cable is out for weeks on end. The final blow was when I went to check out, the desk looked at my key number and the only response was, “you should be good to go”! No”how was your stay?” No “thank you for staying with us”. My gosh, I have worked with the public my entire adult life. A little courtesy goes a long way. I’m just sorry I used my key rewards on this disastrous stay. Needless to say we won’t be back. The only good thing worth mentioning is the view from the room was amazing. Of course the hotel had nothing to do with the view!

The location is wonderful, can't beat the ocean front view and access. Our room however was ridiculous, the back door didn't lock, the screen door was broken, the phone didn't work, one of the beds was broken and therefore sunken and super uncomfortable, the plugs sparked when we plugged things in and our devices were heating up and then the cable was out as well. On the surface the room and property looked nice but the room was in shambles. When I went to the front desk they said I'd have to wait to talk to the manager in the morning. We were only staying one night so let it go at the time and just enjoyed the beach front view and access. Staff was friendly but they need to invest in some repairs. They also were charging $4 for candy in the lobby which was $2 in the vending machine 30 feet away.

First room was limited view and when we went in to see if we could get another room The lady at the desk was absolutely wonderful and accommodated us immediately. Not the same old Surftide
We stayed here a couple years ago, something dramatically changed since then. The room was ok for being clean. The light above the sink only worked 50% of the time, the trims are old and water warped, the bathroom is tiny and not in the best shape, holes all over in the screen on the balcony. Algae along the pool edge. Turned on the hot tub and eyes burned from chemicals and it started foaming up to the edge. The beds are very hard and as uncomfortable as the pillows. I was embarrassed to tell my son we stayed before and it was nice because it was less than nice. For the price we paid I expected more.

Liked: they have hot tub and pool which most motels do not. Signage was very well marked how to get to beach. Room and long decor was well done. I appreciated the kitchen area with a sink, dish soap and a towel. Microwave and fridge too. Didn’t like: I was expecting my room would have an ocean front view, and I had a view of the ocean over the rooms in front of me but perhaps I paid less for this. Maybe it’s first come first serve but if it’s imperative to be on the ocean (always ideal in my book) ask about this before booking. Also, 2 out of 3 nights we heard the people the floor above us. It was disruptive early in the am and later at night. I think it was because of the lack of rugs on the hard floor (planking of some sort) or poor insulation. Least important was the saunas being out of order-disappointing but we only would have probably used them once.
