Accrington has eight bedrooms and can accommodate between 1 - 17 people. The design of the house ensures it to feels cosy for all group sizes while the upstairs loft and separate Honey Shed provides space for larger gatherings.
The original farmhouse is crafted from hand-cut timber milled from the property over 150 years ago. Lovingly restored inside and out to meld seamlessly into the natural folds of rolling grassy paddocks and tranquil garden full of blooms and bird song.
Catching all day sun the charming retreat offers an endless number of ways to unwind. Brunch on the morning veranda looking across the garden to the paddocks. Reading on the front veranda watching the wood pigeons swoop by and feed from the giant pohutakawa tree. Watch the kids enjoy the play ground or have a chat to the friendly sheep in the orchard paddock. Long lunches and dinners in the garden and nights snuggled up with a board game by the fire.
Explore the area on foot with numerous public and private walking, cycling and hiking trials. With a range of stunning beaches within 5 - 15 minutes away their are endless options to swim, surf, kayak, paddle, fish, boat or just lie on the beach.
As soon as you arrive at Accrington you will feel like you are home and never want to leave.

Accrington is located on the north eastern side of Banks Peninsula. Just 30 minutes from the French sea side town of Akaroa, 10 minutes to Okains Bay and only 2 minutes to Little Akaloa Beach. Little Akaloa is well known as one of Banks Peninsulas favourite beaches for families, with a gentle creek, sandy beach and boat ramp.
Little Akaloa has two tennis courts available for public use (coin donation) and small children's playground. A nearby walkway will take you to Raupo Bay, known for its surfing. Okains Bays has a lovely general store and Colonial Museum full or history on the area and Banks Peninsula.
Venture further afield to Akaora and enjoy the cafes, restaurants, galleries, walking tracks and shops. Or take a boat trip out in the harbour to see the dolphins, amazing wildlife and seascape.
Travel time from Christchurch one and half hours with the journey providing spectacular views of Akaroa Harbour and passing through Little River. Roads are all sealed to Accrington driveway.
