Publié le 18 juill. 2024 sur HotelsOne of my favourite places to stay. Decent pubs within walking distance but none do food after 7pm! Lots of choice on Just Eat and there is an excellent Booths supermarket nearby.

The property had everything you need for staying away and the beds were comfortable, the owners welcomed us and were friendly, they provided with a number for a local taxi service which were helpful and reliable. Enjoyed our short stay.

Family visit

Such a shame

But…
The radiator by our heads in bed wouldn’t turn off or down and was hot all night which made sleeping difficult
There were multiple mouse droppings in our bed and on the bedside cabinet
Also mouse droppings on the fridge and stacked up behind the fridge in a huge pile
I asked for a refund from the owners but wasn’t given one. I did not even get an acknowledgment or an apology.
It is in the country so I can understand why there may be a problem with mice but nothing seems to be done about it. Such a shame as the cottage itself was beautifully presented, equipped and clean.
