Staff are amazing! They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Excellent location in the heart of southport.

Best Hotel in Southport by far. Great location and staff. The mattress was the only low point and has been last couple of stays. Worth replacing them and then nothing but good things to say.

I wasn't very keen on the breakfast. Stayed here last year and thoroughly enjoyed the taste and quality of the breakfast. I like Rice Crispies but the hotel rice crispies had no taste whatsoever was like eating bits of cardboard. My wife asked the waitress if the what the sausages made of, the waitress went to check and returned to say they were pork. I tried them and both my wife and I decided that they could not be pork, they looked and tasted more like beef. We both left the rice cripsies and the sausages. We believe breakfast is a big part of any hotel stay and we couldnt eat it. It is my belief that maybe to cut costs the kitchen are buying in inferior products. The hotel itself is really nice but beware even if a room is advertised with a shower the showers are above small Japanese bath tubs and so anybody with less mobility issues may find it difficult to get into the bath to shower. My wife having had a recent injury could not raise her leg to step into the tub and so we had to move rooms but it turns all rooms bar 2 have the same tubs. Changing rooms to have a walk in shower meant downgrading our room type. In fairness to the hotel they quashed out 2 x night valet parking as compensation for the room downgrade. We were away with friends and felt let down having persuaded friend to stay there. We visit Southport every year but I won't be stopping at the hotel next year. I hate leaving poor reviews for any hotel something I rarely do but you have to be honest.

Hi Mark Thank you so much for your feedback from your recent stay with us. I am so disappointed to read your comments, especially regarding our lovely sausages. The sausages are pork and purchased from a quality local supplier and our rice krispies are a popular well known brand. Please let me assure you, we are most definitely not buying inferior products. The quality of all our food products has always been of the upmost importance to us.. Our Japanese bath tubs can be more challenging for some of our guests with mobility issues however we do offer accessible rooms as a alternative. I am so sorry to hear you will not be visiting our hotel again. Mark we do value all of our feedback and hope that you might reconsider your decision and give us the opportunity of welcoming your back to the hotel once again next year .
