One of my best stays ever!!
Publié le 12 juill. 2024 sur HotelsTongabezi is amazing!! I stayed for one week and didnt want to leave. If you are traveling from Zimbabwe it is very easy to cross the border and get to the hotel (they will arrange everything for you)
Pros: The rooms are huge, internet is perfect (which was an issue in other places on my trip), rooms are elegant and modern (the decoration is BEAUTIFUL) and the food is really good (and healthy!) and the whole place is run perfect Mwila, the manager.
Also- they have a gym! Which is amazing as many lodges dont have one. The trainer, Bruce is great guy and he is always there to help with the machines.
Cons- I cant think of any in the hotel, it truly has been one of my best stays anywhere in the world.

Publié le 12 mai 2019 sur Hotels３食・アクティビティがインクルーシブなのでお値段以上の価値があると思います。到着日にランチを食べながらアクティビティの相談を聞いてくれます。サンセットリバークルーズは対岸のジンバブエ側からサンビア川の水を飲みに来るバッファローや象に出会えました。ビクトリアフォールズはジンバブエ側に行きたかったので、現地の会社を手配してくれ、途中まで一緒に来てくれます。その後、ザンビア側はアクティビティスタッフが案内してくれました。ヘリコプターやバンジーなどの有料アクティビティも手配して連れていってくれますので、安心して楽しめます。その日は一日アクティビティだったのでランチBOXを持ってきてくれました。お部屋は広く、ザンビア川の眺めが良く快適です。Nutがおススメです。

Beautiful location, but rooms too rustic
Publié le 9 août 2018 sur HotelsOur stay at Tongabezi was for five nights and it was a fun time due to the great surrounding area. However, the lodge was more rustic than we expected - our booked rooms (half time at Tongabezi and half time at Sindabezi) did not have enclosed bedrooms (i.e. the room had curtains at least for part of the walls. This made the climate control difficult (I was cold one or two nights despite heating pads in the pad) and also made the room loud. Mostly, it didn't feel secure. there were no locks on our doors. Now, the area is beautiful and we had a great time on our excursions. It is a special location on the Zambezi river. But, I think those looking to stay here should prepare for glamorous camping scenarios for sleeping rather than a luxury hotel bedroom experience. The food was moderately good - some days were very good (on par with a moderately good restaurant in a major city), other days there were clear misses. We were tired of the resort food by day 3 so probably not an issue for a shorter stay.
I would recommend the hotel, but with the caveat that you should be prepared for a rustic experience, which I did not think was clear from the website.

Contre : Nothing! Maybe more “spider sweeps”, i found one in my closet.
Emplacement : There are myriad things to do. Maybe wait and let the activities manager take care of your bookings. For activities they aren’t quick onemail and chat
From start to finish this is an exceptional hotel and a memorable experience against which you’ll compare every other hotel. I travel a lot and have seen hundreds and hundreds of lovely hotels; this one is really a jewel. The personalized service is wonderful but not too much. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable, the public spaces are cozy and inviting and yet private. The unbelievable views are only surpassed by the gourmet kitchen that is also, just exceptional. The lodge is small and private, and it’s the only time that “all inclusive” didn’t mean watered down, bad drinks. COME STAY HERE, you’ll remember it forever. I know that i will.
