We wanted to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and would normally have gone somewhere hot for this milestone but with Covid we are still not prepared to fly anywhere, so were looking for something different to just a ‘hotel room’, I saw this advertised on Expedia, and it looked to be just what we were looking for, a bit of luxury in a tranquil setting, just the down time we needed after a busy year. Penbontbren ticked all the boxes, the suites are lovely, an old barn conversion, our suite was upstairs, it was cozy and clean with a comfy bed, 18 acres of beautiful grounds which I’m sure look even more fabulous in the summer months. The owners, Richard and Kathryn, are lovely, as is Dawn who looked after our needs at breakfast, nothing was ever too much trouble, and I loved the personal touches that you don’t experience in a large hotel. We visited some lovely beaches whilst there and even got to see dolphins in the sea at Aberporth beach on our anniversary. Perfect! 😍

Stunning accommodation in a lovely location
Publié le 17 févr. 2018 sur HotelsI had a suite for my 4 night stay - a lovely big, clean and comfy room with everything I needed. The management went out of their way on numerous occasions to make my stay more enjoyable. My only minor gripe, although they do say this in the guest handbook, is that the wifi is quite slow at times. You have to expect this in that part of the country though.

Great B&B with Superb Views
Publié le 3 déc. 2016 sur HotelsThis is a lovely B&B with superb rooms, friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous staff who go out of their way to accommodate you.
Unfortunately this was a Business trip and I therefore wasn't able to make full use of the facilities nor go exploring around the local area, however, I hope to return to do both.
