A good value for money, at the price I paid

I don't get who rate these properties. This hotel had a fair quality for the price but Fantastic, no, not really? I spend 200 night a year in hotels, the is a property I'll go back if I can get the same deal, but nothing justify Fantastic

This is a really nice hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Food was really good. The walk from the car park to reception is quite steep and it’s a bit awkward if you have a heavy suitcase on arrival. Would be happy to stay again when I am next working in the area.

Big, clean and comfortable room overlooking lots of trees. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but you could have dinner at the bar. The spa was also closed, they did let us know when booking with a reminder a week or two before arrival, so it wasn’t a surprise when we got there.

Not pleasant experience

Not so good experience as the fire alarm went off with out letting us know and room service was quite disappointing

Staff were very welcoming. Rooms were very dated and in need of a refurb. Breakfast was great and staff were lovely it’s only the rooms that let it down.

The reception was excellent. The room was okay. Staining around tub. Tub very hard to access for us. Restaurant was good again service was excellent but menu limited.

Great nights sleep, had a wonderful meal at the local pub as the kitchen was closed, but the breakfast was amazing

I enjoyed my stay overall. Most of the staff were very friendly. I had a nice chat with one of the bartenders. I didn’t catch his name but he was young and a little heavyset. The other chap wasn’t friendly and I think he’d benefit from some feedback and customer service training. It comes naturally to some people but not everyone. The food was great as well as the wine selections. I thought the food prices were very good. I enjoyed the breakfast too. My room was comfortable and functional and I sport the sea view alone the ability to crack open the windows at night for some fresh air. Pillows, sheet and duvet were great better than several hotels I’ve stayed in recently. It’s clear the hotel is still undergoing maintenance and improvements since reopening and I can completely understand. In some places it felt upgraded and then in others worn and dated. I really hope there is continued upgrading of the hotel and staff training and motivation and this place and the people deserve to succeed.
