Lots of space, character, and stairs
Publié le 2 août 2024 sur HotelsExtremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. Kitchen is on lowest floor. Entry and dining and parlor are on street level, and there is no bathroom on that floor. So it’s a trek from kitchen to loo. The top floor bedroom is huge and worked great for our kids and their baby. Location in town is phenomenal. It is a bit funky and eclectic, but it worked for us.

Perfect stay in a perfect house
Publié le 4 août 2021 sur HotelsWe booked the whole house for 2 nights and we had high expectations based on reviews and the website - and we were not disappointed! The property is simply stunning, from the way it's furnished, equipped and maintained and the location is perfect - in the middle of town but not overlooked, and backing onto the river. We ended up eating in both nights because eating out in the garden was so perfect and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. And we really appreciated extra little touches like providing ice in the freezer, a dog towel, dishwasher and washing machine tablets, hair straighteners etc etc. They have thought of everything!
Communication with the owners was brilliant too. We had to change our booking and they were so accommodating and responded to questions promptly and positively, both beforehand and during our stay.
Strongly recommended!

Fantastic bed so comfortable, lovely little touches throughout the room and public areas, great breakfast and super friendly host nothing too much trouble.
