Great Hocking Hills location
Publié le 11 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy friend and I shared the Xantus cabin with my dog. We stayed 4 nights in order to hike in Hocking Hills state park. The location was great, and the property is nice. The cabin was clean and well-stocked. We were able to order firewood and ice from the office and it was delivered quickly.

Quiet getaway

We loved the deck and fire pit set up. The lake was beautiful! The staff that we interacted with were all friendly and very quick to help. Planning to bring the family back!

Really great place to stay for a hiking trip
Publié le 30 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe went on just a weekend trip to Hocking hills and spent majority of the time out hiking. We spent nights at the campsite and always felt welcomed and safe there. Everyone was friendly and the community areas were always fun and clean! We had a great time and so did our dog. The only thing I wish I had known was that the water for the cabin was well water so it smelled like rotten eggs, which was a surprise when trying to shower after a long day of hiking. Other than that it was a wonderful campsite and we will definitely be back!!

So glad that you felt so welcomed while you were here. We are unexpectedly having issues with the sulphur due to the drought that we are in. We installed a water softener at the beginning of the season to eliminate the sulphur smell from our well water but the drought has made it difficult for it to keep up. I hope you were able to enjoy your stay despite that. I apologize for any inconvenience. Hope you can return again sometime!
