Total Disappointment with the Inflexibility
Review: Due to a personal emergency, I attempted to change the dates of my original reservation from July 26 to July 28, 2024, at the Adagio Hotel Stratford, through Hotel.com. Despite successfully changing my train ticket, the hotel modification process was frustrating and ultimately unsuccessful. After being shuffled between virtual assistance and endless chat discussions, I was finally informed that the hotel was refusing to modify my reservation, strictly adhering to its original policy, despite my intention not to cancel but merely to reschedule my stay.
I am particularly disappointed because, as a loyal customer who previously spent over £1,500 during a 10-day stay at the end of 2022, I expected some consideration. The two nights in question cost £465.82, including fees, with one night covered by my Hotel.com points. The lack of flexibility and the poor support from Hotel.com, despite years of loyalty, are significant negatives.
This experience has drastically changed my perception of the Adagio Hotel Stratford. Despite my previously satisfactory visits, their inability to accommodate a simple date change request has left a bitter taste. For these reasons, I do not recommend this hotel, especially if you are looking for customer service that can demonstrate understanding and flexibility in unforeseen situations.
