Nice clean Hotel. Taxi fare about twenty pounds, but bus U3 was excellent to LHR. Food a little on the expensive side but good quality. Would stay again

I really liked my stay at this property, and I would book a room there again if I was flying out of Heathrow (the reason for my reservation). One problem I had which I wanted to warn others about: the A/C in my room just did not cool the room down. The fan was blowing, and I kept reducing the temperature on the thermostat, but it never cooled the room off. I went to bed hoping it would cool more (it had cooled down one degree)...but it stayed at 25 degrees Celsius, which was 77 degrees Fahrenheit. I slept fitfully and finally woke up for good at 4:00 a.m....and it was 25.6 degrees in my room. I called the front desk, and the manager came to my room and offered a fan or to change rooms (not feasible...I had an early morning flight anyway). Nevertheless, I had a terrible night there and it was grueling getting ready in the morning with that heat and getting ready for my flight and lugging around my suitcases. Even the hallways were stuffy and just too hot. DO NOT hesitate to contact the front desk immediately if your A/C is not working after 30 minutes or so. Change rooms. From other reviews I read on this site, it appears this might be an ongoing problem with the A/C at this hotel. Also...get a bucket of ice at the bar, as there are no ice machines. Not uncommon in the UK, but it will save you a trip walking all around the floor looking for one.

The front desk staff that we dealt with was wonderful. Room great! Restaurant a bit of a let down. Staff member we had not helpful or friendly in anyway. Also, $100 CDN for two fish and chip dinners and two coca colas!
