The Novotel London Greenwich is listed as a 4 star hotel with immaculate looking facilities and rooms. Therefore we chose to book via Expedia. On arrival the hotel reception/lobby was beautifully presented and we were handed our room keys. Upon on entry to our room, it represented more of a 2 star hotel and felt dirty and abandoned throughout. - The bathroom tiling grout was discoloured and appeared heavily soiled - The shower screen door also rusting and falling apart on the seals - Heavy black scratch marks and chips on the walls - Cable covers on the side of the dressing table falling off - USB plug points on top of the dressing table not even attached to the dressing table and was clearly a risk of potential electrocution - Damp patches on the lower wall which had warped the skirting board and splintered it, meaning it is no longer attached to the wall

The room provided had no air con and the window would not open. We asked to be moved which they did but the general condition of the rooms was poor with tepid water for my shower in the morning. Overpriced.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, the only good thing with the hotel is - its right next to Greenwich station, so great for someone using public commute. on our 3 days stay - everyday there was a new problem in the room -day1 the toilet flush was not working, they sent someone in 15 minutes, it was fixed. Second day - bathroom was leaking and the water was coming in the room, the rooms are too compact, when you put foot down from the bed it would go the entrance of the wet bathroom! They said they cant fix the leak, we should put towels in the room. And third day toilet was fully broken, we were not provided any other bathroom at the same floor, the only option was to use the bathroom in the lobby. The staff probably at the reception had no control on these things, no one from the management contact us on our issues.
