Historic cozy hotel
The room is very small but extremely cozy and well appointed. It felt perfect on a rainy weekend in London. My room was on the third floor and the hotel has no elevators. However, the staff was more than happy to carry my bag us and then retrieve it at the end of my stay. The Hotel is in a lovely neighborhood and the hotel has an interesting history that is elegantly displayed around the hotel.

The hotel manger is horrible . Rude and not respectful . Room is so dark , the restroom is so small. No elevator. The stairs are dangerous.

High value, reasonable price, Georgian style
Perfect, cozy place to stay while traveling alone. Be ready to do the stairs, but if you need a hand with your bags the staff will volunteer to carry them. Lovely location, historical interior, super clean. Loved it.

Hotel Goodenough was not good enough.
I travel significantly for busines and pleasure and this trip had both. Two core issues. One there is no elevator in this “hotel”. I do not have a more permanent disability but suffer from arthritis and a bad knee both of which can flare. The room I had booked was only available 3 floors up and there was no elevator. The front desk person was not into any thoughtful solutions. The main solution was to offer me a “family room” for somewhere in the 50-75 pounds extra. This room was also not on the main floor but only 1 floor away. The front desk person was less than helpful or accommodating and I was told this is a hotel in Europe. At 10 pm at night I left to get another hotel. Am still waiting for resolution on a refund with hotels.com. In the meanwhile, I would caution against staying here unless you have a confidence in your room and location. I would also encourage this property to come into 2024 and add an elevator or make it part of the written description of your property.

Great location and cracking value. Lovely room with everything you needed. The only thing which was not 5 stars was the physical location of the breakfast hall and the quality of the food and service on offer. However this is really a minor issue for the price paid. The fact that the breakfast is served in the college 1 minute's walk away is stated on the website.

A nice, comfortable hotel, closer to the feel of a large guest house. My room was spotless and even though it was one of the small budget single rooms, it was nicely decorated and came with everything you would expect in a four star hotel. There is no bar or restaurant - although breakfast is served nearby. It’s a beautiful location - quiet, yet close to a huge number of bars and restaurants and cultural spots. My one complaint, and the reason I didn’t award five stars, is that my room was warm, even with the window open and heading off, in October. There was no AC and no fan and I imagine on a warm summer night that it could be oppressive.
