Comfy bed in lovely Room on two floors - not for those who run to the bathroom at night! 115 very noisy pipes running water sound woke us hourly from 6am-

The front desk staff were incredibly rude after they downgraded our room but made us pay more for the stay. The “Apr” downstairs smelled like someone was dead in the back.

This is our second time at the Lansbury. On both occasions, the rooms have been excellent. Very clean, well maintained and with much needed air conditioning on a warm day. The breakfasts could offer a bit more selection, but that's just a minor point.

Pleasant stay

This hotel is furnished to a high standard and easily accessible from Canary Wharf. We liked the split level room and appreciated having air conditioning during a heatwave. The room was not maintained to the highest standard - there were stains on the carpet, missing crystals on the chandelier, scratches on the walls. As the hotel takes a £100 security deposit I would have hoped these things would be remedied and it did make me concerned that I would be blamed for these issues. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall we had a good stay.

staff are unprofessional

The room was beautiful however a few minor hiccups were dealt with poorly. We were woken at 7.00-7.30 by a lot of noise outside our door - we felt this was the cleaners. We were told they start at 9 (which we knew wasn’t truthful as they were outside our door at 8.30 when we came out) the sauna and steam weren’t at a reasonable temperature so we were underwhelmed by that and we have just been back having left some items in the room to be told they have been put in the bin. We feel this is theft and completely unacceptable. My friend spoke to the receptionist about the minor issues this morning and as told somebody would contact her today. Apart from the theft, we feel the other issues would have been easily resolvable if we had felt listened to, weren’t laughed at (which we feel was unprofessional however it was viewed) and if we were given a simple apology however our main issue was how it was dealt with and when my friend tried to address this again before we left, she had two members of staff talking over her. from this moment, we went from underwhelmed to completley appalled - not to mention how abrupt the member of staff was in the restaurant this morning, which again, was not addressed.

We are a boutique hotel and politely ask guest to dress appropritely in a dinin room not a bathrobes.Regarding your concern about the missing Galaxy chocolate bar, we want to assure you that our staff members have been with us for years and maintain a high level of professionalism. Accusing them of theft without concrete evidence is unwarranted, and taking items from housekeeping trolleys is definitely not acceptable.We understand that your experience with us did not meet your expectations, and we wish you all the best in finding a hotel that better suits your needs Lansbury Heritage Hotel is definately not for you.
