Sisters vacation
Publié le 3 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy sisters and I go to the Mississippi coast (specifically the Long Beach area) every fall to get away and enjoy each other. Gulf Palms cottage has been a favorite of ours for the last 3 years. It's a cozy set up and just 2-3 blocks from the beach, as well as being close to good food and entertainment. The hosts are top notch!!

Great Quiet Getaway

Weather was fantastic, house was comfortable and relaxing with everything needed to cook and not have to eat out. Loved the screen porch. Reminded me of the many years in my childhood visiting the coast. The host is very accommodating to your needs. Highly recommended

Thank you Dorie for your review. Yes, this is why Claire and I decided to purchase our Vacation Home on the MS Coast. Having grown up in Long Beach, then working out of the area for almost 40 years, it just feels nice to be back to the MS Coast for the peace, quiet, beautiful beachfront to walk on, etc., etc. So, glad you enjoyed your time back home again and were able to relax along the Coast. Publié le 15 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cottage is a great place for a beach getaway. We had our own bedrooms. We enjoyed hanging out and talking in the living room. The place is very clean. It is close many eating places and the ferry for Ship Island.

Girls trip
Publié le 7 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was the absolute best VRBO experience we have ever had. The house is so cute and has everything you could even think about needing and then some! There are even games, books and movies for entertainment if you don’t feel like going out. So conveniently located near everything we needed. Harold was so communicative and answered all our questions so quickly. Not only that, he went out of his way to check in and give us suggestions for our 4th of July experience! 10/10 recommend this property and this host!!

Decent home, but nothing fancy

It is definitely an older home. One of the doors was off enough that we pushed a couch in front of it to feel comfortable at night. It locked, but barely. The shower also struggled quite a bit, we cpuld either have hot or cold nothing in between. The AC struggled, during the day it couldn't keep up and didnt go below 79 until well after dark.
The area is great and the home had a ton of availablt extras on the way of beach equipment, grill, kitchen things, etc.
Overall it was a decent stay.

Thank you Katie for your feedback, we do appreciate it. A couple of things I would like to correct is we are not the managers but own & use the Gulf Palms and yes the cottage was rebuilt back to original state after Hurricane Katarina ( is for sure the oldest cottage in the area since it was the first cottage built back after Katrina and it's layout is the original layout of what all the cottages were in the past, etc.). On the AC system, it is less than three years old (has been checked since your departure and no issues were found) and not sure on the water issues since don't recall ever having that issue mentioned prior but it was also checked out and operating normally. So, not sure what might have taken place during your stay but thank you for letting us know. Thank you again and enjoy the remaining Summer. Harold & Claire

Nice, small three-bedroom house. Very clean. Plenty of kitchen equipment and linens. Off street enough as neighbors can be a little loud intermittently. Good location. Hosts very accommodating.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet at the house ! Our teens was also very comfortable! So much to see and do here! We enjoyed the stay and highly recommend this property.

That is the main reason we purchased this particular cottage.... was that the area it is located, sitting back off the street and with all the large trees on the property, it makes quiet, peaceful and safe for our kids and grandkids to enjoy the Coast. The lot was huge for a residential neighborhood with beautiful trees.The palm tree in front was dropping fruit. We like the fruit too. Harold made sure he covered everything for check in/out. Definitely recommend if staying in the area!

Great Place and Great Location
