Needs an upgrade
Publié le 2 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe beds and couches were all uncomfortable. Kitchen was adequate - a 4th matching chair at the table would have been nice. The binder needs to be updated- many out of business places still in the binder. Size was okay - the whole place looks "tired" - and not just because it is a 1920's cabin.

Although it is referenced "not just because it is a 1920's cabin" it seems pretty clear that is the issue as the vast majority of the house has had major renovations in just the last year.
One of the couches is new as of late last year. The other is only a few years old.
Other major improvements that have been made in just the last year:
The entire inside was repainted
The roof is brand new as of 1 month ago
A brand new door on the north side of the house in just the last few weeks and freshly painted as well.
A new frame and paint for the driveway door. Both door projects were completed just 2 weeks ago.
The entire flooring was replaced this year.
These are all major renovations that most guests would notice and appreciate as evidenced by most of our reviews.
Next time we are out there, we will double-check the binder and make corrections. However, it should be noted that most businesses in downtown Long Beach are mere blocks from our house.
It is unfortunate that some guests who are better suited to stays in 5 star hotels would rent vintage cabins.

Fun trip to ocean

Long Beach getaway.

Just a side note, a user friendly toilet in the bath with just a shower would be great for older knees. HAHA. Just kidding all was great

Fun week overall
Publié le 19 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe cabin was comfortable enough and the location was ideal. The kitchen is small but well-appointed and we had everything we needed to prepare and serve meals. The beds were comfortable, and we slept really well on each of the six nights we stayed. There are a few really lovely original paintings in the cabin which was the best part of the decor for me. :)
The property was clean but did have a detectable dog odor which makes sense since it is a pet friendly rental. The yard didn't appeal to us as there is no privacy or inviting space to hang out. It is a decent dog run though! Our only real inconvenience was the lack of any place to unpack and store clothes and other belongings for the week.
I would recommend this cabin, particularly for short stays.

Cozy with fantastic location

Such easy access to the beach and downtown, we only had to walk a block or two to get to where we wanted to go in town. Also very comfortable with plenty room in the common area and comfy beds. A perfect getaway spot for families.

If you are looking for an economical place to stay, with the beach, shops, and restaurants an easy walk away, this is the place.

Quiet, great location
