The room was clean. The pool water was cloudy and dirty and we all felt itchy and had a rash after swimming. We took a shower immediately and the rash went away.
We felt unsafe because of the managers behavior. We booked a second night because we were evacuated from a wildfire and heard the fire was getting bigger. The evening desk clerk swiped our card for a second night. The next day at 12:30pm a man who identified himself as the manager knocked on our door and started yelling loud and angrily at us that he was going to call the police because he did not have our credit card information for the second night. We were frightened by him and left immediately. The charge did show up on our credit card so he actually did have the credit card info. We notified our credit card and received a refund because we were not allowed to stay for the second night.

Check out time is 11am, Front Desk reached out to you for your credit card two to three time before 11:30 but you never came down. So that is why we had to knocked your door at 12:30pm. Please accept apology from my entire team.

I read reviews before booking this overnight stay and it was mentioned that it is clean, friendly staff, good breakfast but older building with an old/musty smell. That was my experience but I would add dim lighting. This is probably all normal for a Comfort Suites. We just needed a place to sleep for the night while we were on a long road trip. We rested fine but we prefer a little brighter newer/updated hotel.
