Belle houseboat mais accueil quelconque, difficile le week-end voir impossible au départ pour récupérer la caution renvoyée par virement.Cette dernière est à payer en liquide si l'on n'a pas ses coordonnées bancaires(iban+bic).

Dear Michel, Thank you very much for your stay at the Houseboat, and thank you for your comment that you liked it. We read in your review about the damage deposit. On the website of Hotels.com / Expedia it is mentioned that the damage deposit is paid at the accommodation. In the past we did send arriving guests an invoice to their mail address so they could do the payment in advance by bank transfer. Some guests did not appreciate this because they expected to pay the damage deposit at arrival. To refund the damage deposit we need indeed the guests IBAN details. The refund, in case there are no damages, by bank, gives the guest the opportunity to leave at any time they wish. There is no necessity to wait until the accommodation is checked, and the check-out can be done quickly. As we read on your review you would preferred another way of refund. As you see, so many people, so many wishes. It is difficult to find a manner to handle this issue to the satisfaction of everybody. We hope we explained this issue, of course we will consider your opinion too, we will talk to our future guests. We hope to meet again in the future, we would be glad to welcome you again on your next vacation. Yours sincerely,

Row row row your boat... with all the luggage

We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. I was with a family of 5, and none of us had ever rowed a boat a day in our lives. Had i known this upfront i would never have booked this lodge. THIS ROOM IS NOT SUITABLE FOR ANYONE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES!!And that should be described in the room information. 2. You cant leave the island when its dark because its pitch black. This restricted what we could do and also prevented me from attending a planned meal out with a client. We asked the morning after we arrived if we could change rooms but only at a cost of nearly 400 euros for 2 further nights. I think the staff think its hilarious but it ruined what was supposed to be a chance for us to get away and relax while i did a couple of days work.

This is a nice place,the area was pretty and the cabin was nicely furnished but be aware that no soap, shampoo or dish soap is provided, the toilet room is also very small( like airplane or smaller) Also there is a $95 fee for bed linens as well as a cleaning fee and a deposit on top of what you already paid.

Reception were helpful and check in/ check out was easy. The underfloor heating didn’t work which meant the lounge area felt a little cold but reception gave us a portable heater which did work well. We were comfortable and I can imagine it would be stunning in good weather (we were unlucky with all the rain). There’s a tumble dryer and fresh linen etc. WiFi was excellent as was the tv choice for wet days. Deposit was returned quickly. There are extra fees (cleaning and bed linen) but the bed linen and cleaning were worth the money.

1. Many hidden fees, i.e. not included in payment at booking (e.g. cleaning, dog) 2. Sink in bathroom is too small - barely big enough to wash hands!!! 3. Furniture worn 4. Not nicely decorated as on photos

We feel cheated bcs why we have to pay additional €155 for cleanning fee + €17 tourist fee upon checked in ???? It was NOt mentioned anything during booking processs. No note whatsoever beside/under the final price. And we found out in hotel it was written down so amall in term of condition. This is thief !!! We wont booked in this hotel if we have to pay so much and wont do under hotel.com which way more exepensive the others. We claimed for dumerage !! Please arrange asap. Thank god luckily we have the money that day otherwis ehow we cover it ?we were in 21 days road trip so we count every single expenses. Not a stupidity like this. Waiting your action asap

Dear Mrs Lela I Qyma, Thank you for your stay. We read your review, we read you were happy with the accommodation, as we read no comment at all about it. You are clearly unhappy with the booking website of Hotels.com You did not see on that website the note about the service fee (towels, bed linen, made-up beds, final cleaning), and about the tourist taxes. Unfortunately we have no influence at all on this website! it is Hotel.com who chooses to mention these costs separately. Please contact them also in name of other travelers to change their website. Thank you for your stay, we hope to meet again some time in the near future.

Insgesamt gut

Es war eine schöne Umgebung, ein schön eingerichtetes Haus und nette Leute. Das einzige was nicht gut war, war das dreckige Geschirr, Töpfe und Besteck. Das hat leider alles geklebt. Ansonsten top!
