The staff was wonderful. The property is old and in dire need of maintenance upgrades. My bath tub had rust in it

First room - TV didn’t work. No available staff to fix the TV so they moved me to the next room over. TV in that room worked but I had to move the bed to turn on the power strip for the lights/plug-ins to work. Right as I was falling asleep, the smoke alarm started beeping. A good place to stay the night but no more.

The staff were helpful. The room was clean but outdated. Carpet is old and kind of dirty. We wire sandals all the time. The bed was comfortable. AC was great. We stayed two nights and there were only 2 half rolls of toilet paper, we had to ask for more. There were no towels in the pool area. Breakfast was good. I was expecting only bagels and cereal but they had scramble eggs, potatoes, belgian waffles, besides the continental breakfast. Leo Carrillo Beach was 40 minutes away and Malibu 60. Griffith observatory 50 min. away. Gardens of the world is 20 min. Away. Check hours.

Room was run down. There was BLOOD stains on the sheets, like the bedding wasn’t even changed?! Hair on the floor of the bathroom. It was honestly disgusting and I will never book this La Quinta again. The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.
