Outstanding Hotel

I receive routine treatments at USC Keck Hospital (which is 3 hours from where we live) and this hotel gives us a great location for that purpose. The staff is always great and very accommodating, especially in giving us our requested handicapped room. Our only complaint is that the bed is a little too stiff for our liking so we both wake up with a bit of sore back. We started bringing a mattress topper with us which helps a lot. Normally this issue would be enough to search for a different hotel, however, everything else about this hotel is so outstanding that we are willing to overlook the stiff bed issue. It is conveniently located to several fantastic restaurants and shopping.

Justin and Vincent at the front desk showed me and my wife the best service we have ever experienced. Recommend them 10/10 thank you again Justin and Vincent for making it so special.

Positives: Room and bed were clean and up to date. Would've been better if there was a microwave and non-slip floor mat for the bathtub. Amenities should have extra toothbrush, I had to request that. Room service and breakfast were great. Staff like Rosario from Dining is friendly and prompt. Pool was pretty nice and clean and the heated aspect of it was warm enough to be comfortable, but we also were looking for a spa as it stated, so it was also disappointing when we found it was a luke-warm pool only.
Negatives: Check-in was rough, we informed front desk we were delayed and gave them proper notice beforehand to prepare for our arrival. Some valet staff did not help us with our luggage, while multiple staff stood around too busy chatting and star gazing -- we had to push our own luggage trolley to the front desk after the valet parking that cost $29/night. I had to call front desk about the Wifi procedures, and directions were a bit unclear at check-in. Steep fees for something that should be basic, compared to other hotels . The room sign said complimentary water, but with the water was also a water they charged $6 for and there was no indication that water was not also free. No bathrobes, slippers, and front desk said they can't provide that basic amenity because "the maids aren't around and it might be too late after 4pm"
