No early check in / Room cancelled at 3 am
Posted Aug. 6, 2024 on HotelsI booked a patio room for a music festival. I knew there would be a chance for no early check in but considering the event started at 2 and check in was at 4 I decided to still give it a try. I arrived at noon, I asked the receptionist if I could do early check in and he informed me the family who booked the room before me still hasn’t checked out so I would have to wait until 4 pm. I informed him that I would be at my festival until late. He said “ no problem since we can’t give you the room now there will be someone here TWENTY FOUR SEVEN to help you check in when you arrive”. I go to my festival and after party and arrive to check in at 3am. I have been charged for my room already as I could see in my bank statement. I arrived and the new receptionist goes “ I just cancelled your room. Next time don’t check in late.” Then he starts showing frustration as if this is my fault. After a few minutes he magically was able to give me my room back and says I should have shown up earlier and let them know I was going to be late. I was like sir your coworker literally told me to arrive whenever since you couldn’t do early check in. The actual room has see through curtains. The beds were clean and comfortable. The shower was spacious and has plenty of towels. No microwave but has a fridge. There was also many entrances to the hotel and lots of parking.
