Fresh Eggs and Horces
Publié le 22 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis is our second time staying on the property. It’s an easy walk to downtown Los Olivos. And an easier walk to the Los Olivos Gourmet Grocery Store. Winery’s can be found throughout the area.
We loved hearing the horses ninny and the chickens cluck. The accommodations are above the horse barn which is very cool. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms had all you needed. We really appreciated all the kitchen towels, fresh eggs, and goodies provided.

Foals!
Publié le 6 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy 3 Cs - clean, comfortable and convenient. We particularly enjoyed the comfy king sized bed. Good air con. considering it was a heat wave. All our needs were met. Lots of foals. Read the directions to get in!

Los Olivos Wine trip
Publié le 6 oct. 2024 sur HomeAway7/10 Rating
The property managers said they would like suggestions since they are new to VRBO. There are a few things that could make this a top notch property:
The dishwasher needs to be fixed and visitors should know in advance if it is broken. This property could benefit from a Keurig type coffee maker. Also, more than 7 wine glasses since you are in wine country. There were ants in both bathrooms. Also, this place could use a night light in the hall similar to the motion lights on the outside stairs, of which one needs to be fixed. Some hooks on the back of the bathroom door to hang a robe or clothes would be nice. Small sizes of toiletries would be nice, along with a box of Kleenex in each bathroom.
Higher end linens would upgrade the bedrooms, including drapes and fixing the broken blinds in the second bedroom.

Life on the farm
Publié le 27 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a lovely two week stay here. The owners were very responsive and helpful. The fresh eggs were a great bonus and it was a relatively easy walk into town where great food can be had and there are many Tasting Rooms to visit. We were not all that impressed with the nearby grocery store and generally bought fresh produce and great fish/meat was New Frontiers Natural Market Place at Solvang. Bobs at Ballard was good for breakfast and Lefties Coffee in San Marcos St Los Olivos was our go to for coffee. As Australians we Like Espresso coffee NOT brew/filtered or Keurig so we nearly bought a Nespresso machine to leave behind for future guests. Lefties saved that need. As for Tasting rooms Future Perfect has great sparkling wine, Riesling as well as reds. Stolpman has a super range of French inspired Reds such as Syrah, Nebbiolo and Gamay and for all round excellence Holus Bolus is hard to go past. Thankyou to Tiffany, Dan and Kevin for hosting.

A TASTE OF RANCH LIFE
Publié le 29 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a wonderful experience wine tasting in Los Olivos, with an equally wonderful experience of getting a taste of ranch life. Peacefully nestled atop a barn housing a beautiful mare and her young colt, we were surrounded by horses, chickens, and four very handsome and friendly male Tabbies that policed the grounds. Still nights were filled with stars that we watched from our cozy porch. Nights were silent and restful, even when the rooster crowed before sun up. A great little grocery market is conveniently less than a block away. We will cherish our experience in this simple rustic setting.

HORSES??? YOU LIKE HORSES??? STAY HERE
Publié le 22 août 2024 sur HomeAwayCute 2 bedroom, 2 bath home well furnished and perfect for what we needed.
The BIG surprise is the horses and fresh eggs! We spent much of our time while at the home either walking amongst the horses and their babies, or sitting on the porch watching either horses or the AMAZING stars that come out on a clear night.
Staff/owners at the ranch were not only patient with us but also really spent time talking to us about the horses. They also showed us how to get fresh eggs in the morning from the hen house!
Did I mention it was a super short walk to Los Olivos Grocery?
