Little gem

Baz was very welcoming when i arrived. He took time out to chat and get to know his guests.The room was very clean comfortable and the ved was fantastic i got a decent sleep for a change.The food was really nice and plenty and filling and reasonably priced.

A single word review. Personal opinion no doubt as you haven't haven't given us any constructive criticism to justify the word terrible. Without this we can't investigate anything or make any improvements. You booked the cheapest room in the guesthouse with a shared toilet . It was clean, tidy and had facilities to reflect the price . So what was terrible and why not complain to reception to get the issue resolved?

Pre honeymoon stay fantastic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely great family run guest house Cannot fault this. Baz giving lots of chat and humour along with being professional. We had couple massages that were great. Great good great comfy beds. Will stay again

We were initially given a rubbish, small room. We had booked a deluxe. We came back from a night out to find we were unable to enter as we had NOT been given the code. We were shouted at from a front first floor room by someone whose grasp of English was a list of expletives. Receptionist said it was a person put there by the local council without a risk assessment. He clearly had mental health issues. Even given this type of ‘guest’, there was no night staff. This was a clear security issue. He said it was a guest house not a hotel so no security was legally required. It was a terrible experience especially when it became clear an attempt to get into my car resulted in me driving 259 miles with the drivers side window open.

Thankyou for taking the time to write a review. The room you were initially taken to was what you had booked. Depending on the online travel agent the term deluxe can be used in a different context when describing a room and not specifically it's size. However to be sure always check the size of the room when booking. Secondly we upgraded you to a bigger room free of charge as a complimentary gesture. All guests at check-in are given the door code and wi-fi password by default. You were also given this as verified by cctv. Perhaps you misplaced it. Ringing the emergency mobile no. on the door would have got you in. The gentlemen shouting at you is English born in Leicestershire and as a result of that incident has been removed from the guesthouse. Security is not an issue as we have remote cctv access to the premises and an emergency phone number ls left in a visible position on the reception desk in case of emergencies. Regarding your car being broken into why wasn't that reported to us? Your terrible experience was down to your attitude more than the establishment . The staff went out of their way to make your stay comfortable .
