Great Anniversary Getaway
Publié le 30 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe booked this cozy cottage for two weeks in mid-October. Donna was wonderful. She reached out prior to the stay to chat through the VRBO site and as we got closer she shared things to do and see in Louisburgh and other close towns. We communicated through Whats App once we landed at Shannon Airport (2.5 hours away). She met us at the house to show us how to use the applicances, turn on the water to the showers, lock the doors, etc. She also had flowers and a card for our wedding anniversary (which I had mentioned to her previously) Even a chocolate cake! So kind. Since it was off season, only a handful of restaurants were open during the week (mostly open on Friday and Saturday) but there is a small grocery store in town if you want to get something to cook at the house. A bigger grocery store is in nearby Westport which is about a 15 minute drive from Louisburgh. The kitchen has everything you need - pots, pans, utensils, plates, etc. The TV near the kitchen is a SmartTV. Towels are proved and there are hair dryers to use. The house is in a nice quiet street with easy walk to restaurants in town, McNamara's Pub and the beach (great sunsets when the sun finally came out!). We were able to just relax and enjoy the downtime. Highly recommend this house.

Spacious and Comfortable
Publié le 29 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayAttractive home with very comfortable furnishings. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes, etc. We loved the sizes of the rooms and living areas. One improvement would be to provide an automatic drip or percolator coffee maker to complement the French press and providing small amenities such as shampoo.
A walk into the very small town required navigating unfamiliar narrow country roads potentially in darkness depending on time of day.

Louisburgh break

The house was very spacious and very well equipped for our family of 7, we really enjoyed our stay and Donna was very helpful from initial booking to arriving in Louisburgh . The location is amazing and lots to do in the area . Would definitely recommend Donna's holiday home

Even though we were delayed arriving at the appointed time, our hostess made sure the “hand over” was seemless and she answered all of our questions. She was accessible for questions during our stay and made several great suggestions of destinations in the area. I highly recommend the property. A+

Good for families

Great mattresses, though.Probably good for families. Our one complaint was that it was advertised as having a hot tub which we definitely wanted but it was a mistake in the description.

Perfect stay!

Mayo Holiday
Publié le 7 août 2023 sur HomeAwayGreat house. Walking distance to village. Short drive for fabulous sights and plethora of magnificent beaches including Carrowmore,Old Head,Carrownisky(great surfing) and White Strand. 20 minutes from bustling Westport. Drive from Louisburg to Lenane is special.
