Welcome to Kentucky visitors, horse lovers, Bourbon Trail guests, or anyone looking for a scenic getaway! Rest, relax, and recharge in an exclusive gated community overlooking Taylorsville Lake. Don’t be another hotel's customer when you can stay in a super quiet, spacious home with a Jacuzzi J-235 hot tub.

Note

This is a somewhat rustic, somewhat homey, comfortable 20 year old cottage in a lakeside community. It's not perfect, has it's character (like we all do) but our guests find it charming and sufficient for travel needs. We do our best to ensure VIP guests have a carefree stay in a reliable home with comfortable amentities. You'll find the home is exactly as pictured with the offerings and expectations.

We invite you to enjoy the lake and wildlife, with a cold beverage on your private deck, or an evening of movies and games. It’s great for a weekend, a week, or a month; ideal for alone time, business travel, or to share with family and friends.

Plus, enjoy special amentities like fiber optic internet, Roku enabled smart televisions, and a deluxe, state of the art Jacuzzi J-235 hot tub.

The space:

Fully furnished 2-bedroom, 2-bath cottage that sleeps up to 6, with a king and 2 twin beds, along with a premium air mattress. You will have access to a full kitchen, two bathrooms, washer & dryer, and a living room stocked with 25 board games and 30 movies.

You will appreciate the tranquil serenity of the private deck following a fun filled day on the lake, trip down the Bourbon Trail, world famous horse farms, infinite Louisville attractions, or other sites the beautiful area has to offer. Then unwind in an incredible hot tub under a night sky filled with stars.

Guest access:

Includes resort pool, sand volleyball court, fire pit area and playground. Charcoal grill on the cottage property. You may rent a pontoon or fishing boat at the Taylorsville Lake Marina. There are hiking trails where you can walk down to the lake.

Hosts live close. Available via text, call, and email to answer questions. There is also a property manager at the front Welcome Center.

No parties or events without approval
Check-in is anytime after 3PM. If you’d like to arrive a little earlier to get settled, simply check in advance.

Damage: Accidents may happen. We understand that. Please let us know when they do. Chances are we can fix them as effortlessly as possible. It betters the chances of having your full security deposit returned.

Do not leave trash inside or outside. Please dispose of trash in the dumpster located near the Edgewater Resort office.

Due to safety, guests under the age of 21 must be accompanied by parents or guardians. Do not leave children unattended

Noise: To be considerate of others, we kindly ask to keep things on the quieter side after 9:00 PM.

Security: Do not share the gate or house code with anyone outside your party. The area is very safe, but we want to ensure your stay is safe and problem free.

Check out is by 11 am. Security monitoring begins within two hours of check out when guests are no longer onsite.

I am a 65 YO woman and I stayed at this cottage by myself the week of 10/22/24. I am pleased to give a 5-star rating because: this cottage was easy to find and located in a pleasant, quiet area. I felt safe in this cottage; it was very clean; bed slept wonderful; water pressure and temp were great; cottage looks exactly like pictures; everything worked as expected, and my communications with the property manager were easy. This area is wonderful if you want peace and quiet, close to the lake and Taylorsville. I appreciate the plentiful towels, etc., having such small things as Kleenex, shampoo and lotions was a plus and appreciated. I would lease this cottage again without hesitation.

Quiet area in the middle of bourbon country
The bed is amazing, the hot tub is huge and perfect for relaxing. The pool is a very quick walk from the cabin and it was not busy at all. The location was perfect for bourbon tasting if you want to hit the mist areas. Bardstown Area is 30min, Lexington 45 min and Makers mark (highly recommend) 45 min. These are all in opposite directions so it’s centrally located. We easily hit 14 distilleries in 3 days This may be a yearly trip it was perfect and I’m really glad I didnt do a tour we saw much more on our own.

We enjoyed our week stay in this great cabin. Everything was as advertised. We had everything we needed for preparing meals, and relaxing in comfort. Fives across all categories, but I especially want to point out the wide varieties of books, games, and movies that are available in this cottage. We didn't have time to enjoy them this time, but I have no doubt that we'll be back.

Greatly enjoyed our stay close enough to visit attractions in Louisville but far enough away from the busy city to enjoy the lakeside and peace of the country. Cottage had everything we needed. Kids loved the board games… lots of family time off of screens! Spent time at the pool, in the hot tub, fishing, and hiking trails. Grocery and restaurants conveniently close by. Owner and property manager both quick to respond and answer questions.

Perfect Family Home
We stayed a week at this house with our 1.5 and 3 year old. The property was perfect for all of us. We spent tons of time in the pool just a short walk from the house and at night when the temps dropped we enjoyed the hot tub on the property. Please don’t hesitate in booking this property. It was immaculate and the amenities far exceeded other properties I have stayed at. Plenty of paper products, towels and kitchen supplies. The owner has supplied everything you need, even throw blankets for the sofas when you want to cozy up in the cute living room. The king bed was extra comfy. Would absolutely stay here again.

Sweet home away from home

perfect spot for Bourbon tour vacation
This spot was perfect for a quick Bourbon tour getaway for 4 of us. The property was exactly as shown on VRBO and had everything we could possibly need. Wonderful Place to Stay
We took our family to Kentucky for spring break for hiking and some bourbon trail stops. This cabin was wonderful! Location was great with so many option for trails, distilleries and restaurants without a huge drive. We enjoyed the hot tub and the great view of the lake! Owner was very kind and helpful with suggestions of places to go that would fit our boys' interests. We highly recommend staying here!
