Guest will enter through the front door of the home and have access to the whole property. Guests will also have access to the dock and water at the bottom of the hill below the unit.
CAUTION: Guests are urged to watch their step down the hill and stairs going to the dock area.

This hilltop cabin sits on its own private drive off of a country two lane highway. There is a Marina closely nearby and other lakefront neighbors across the water.

✺ IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING ACCESS✺
Please be advised that the property is situated on a steep hillside with a stunning view of the lake. The driveway leading to the cabin is quite steep and lacks guardrails, so guests are urged to exercise extreme caution while driving up and down. For safety, the use of a 4-wheel drive vehicle is mandatory for driveway access. If your party arrives in more than two vehicles, additional parking is available at the base of the driveway; from there, guests can either walk or arrange a shuttle to the cabin. Be advised that parking space at the top of the driveway is limited. We kindly ask for your careful attention to these safety details to ensure a pleasant and secure stay.

GUEST VERIFICATION
Experienced guests with 5 or more positive reviews may request to be waived from this process, otherwise we do require all guests to complete an additional verification screen through our Guest Portal to ensure the safety and security of our community. This 60-second verification process must be completed within 48 hours of booking, or at least 2 hours prior to the check-in time if booking on the same day as check-in. You will be prompted to complete this process immediately after booking. This includes:


1) Providing a copy of your government-issued photo ID.
2) Photo Verification
3) Confirming your contact information & agreement to our Rental Terms and Conditions

Guests who have questions about this process are encouraged to reach out prior to booking! The information is collected for screening and verification only and is not stored or used for any other purposes. We thank you for your cooperation. Guests who fail to complete our verification process within 48 hours of booking may be subject to cancellation.

HOUSE RULES
1) Guest Count: Please include the correct number of guests in your booking. Visitors outside the reservation are permitted under most circumstances, but we do require guests to request permission prior to having visitors.
2) Check-in: Please notify us once you have accessed the property. Please inspect and report any unsatisfactory conditions within 2 hours of check-in. Non-urgent issues reported after 9:00 pm will be promptly addressed the next day.
3) Noise Policy: Keep noise to a minimum after 10:00 PM to respect our neighbors and local community. We will contact you directly for any reported disturbances, prior to reporting any nuisances with local authorities.
4) Non-Smoking Policy: Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes are not permitted within the property. Any violation, will result in a minimum $300 smoke remediation fee.
5) No Parties: Events and parties are strictly prohibited to maintain a peaceful environment. We will contact you directly for any disturbances, prior to reporting any nuisances to local authorities.
6) Pets: We love our Pets! but they are not allowed in most units, ensuring a clean and allergen-free space for all guests.
a.If the property is labeled as “Pet-friendly”, pet’s are allowed at the expense of $50/night, up to $250. The Pet Fee will be requested after booking via the resolution center, and is paid separately from the reservation.
7) Damage Policy: Any damage caused during your stay will incur repair costs plus a labor charge. A Wear & Tear fee up to $500 per occurrence will be applied for any rule violations related to pets, smoking, or parties.
8) Checkout: Before checking out, please place trash in trash cans, start the dishwasher with used dishes, and begin a wash cycle for used towels.
Security: Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked when not present.
9) Age: Guests must be 25 years or older to make a reservation.

Failure to comply with any of these policies may result in the immediate cancellation of your reservation without refund.

CANCELLATIONS
We adhere to the cancellation policy as outlined at the time of booking. Please note, exceptions due to illness, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances are not covered unless stated otherwise. Guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance at the time of booking to cover unforeseen events. Requests for cancellation outside of this policy will be directed to your travel insurance provider.

EARLY CHECK-IN'S & LATE CHECKOUT REQUESTS
1) Early Check-ins: We are unable to guarantee an early check-in will be possible in advance due to cleaning scheduling. However, on the day of your check-in we will notify you as soon as the property is available & there is no fee for an early check-in. Early check-in requests will be submitted to our team, but please do not expect a response until the day of check-in.

2) Late Checkouts: Are available on a case-by-case basis, depending on the property and cleaning schedule. Requests should be made at least 12 hours in advance of your check-out, and are subject to approval of our cleaning team, which may not be able to respond until the morning of your scheduled departure. We do have a late checkout fee of $25/hr. This fee is paid through the Airbnb Resolution Center.

POLICY VIOLATIONS
1) Late check-out without prior approval will be charged at $50 per hour. We may remove occupants and their belongings from the property if unresponsive, or uncooperative.
2) Excessive Cleaning will be charged at $50 per hour. We will provide proper documentation and photo evidence of excessive cleaning required. This will be applied towards unexpected cleanup of spills, stains, bodily fluids, biohazardous materials, odor remediation, etc.
3) Damaged/Missing items will be charged at the replacement cost + Labor. We will provide proper documentation and photo evidence of any Damages or Missing Items.

We had a really nice time spending time together and cooking and bringing in the new year. It was lovely, the 6 of us were comfortable and had plenty of space space to spread out.

Charming and Spacious
Beautiful place. Check in was easy. Checkout was easy. Everything was well ordered and appointed. Had everything we needed for our stay. The driveway is not for the faint of heart, but there is parking at the base of the hill and it’s not a very long driveway.

Falls short of expectations
This trip was just for my son and myself because he had some training to do in the area and I just went along to relax. Let’s start with the positives. The house itself was very aesthetically pleasing. It looked liked the pictures online and had a nice ambiance. We were thankful for the recommendation to bring a 4 wheel drive vehicle because even though we didn’t need the 4 wheel drive aspect, our F250 is lifted so it had plenty of clearance and survived the potholes. The truck tells us the incline of the road and it is 15%. Negatives- I agree with another review that the kitchen could use some refreshing of essentials, like silverware. When we went to go to bed that evening I unfortunately found multiple hairs on my sheets, so I had to wash and dry them before going to bed. I communicated this via the app and did hear back from the managing company first thing in the morning. They apologized and said they were fresh sheets in the closet, but I explained at that point I’ve already washed all the sheets. When we arrived at the house, the AC was set on 68, and that is what we left it on. However every afternoon the temp in the house rose to 76. I told the company and while they were quick to respond but they had no solution. They did compensate us with a small amount for the inconvenience. There were many flies in the house and behind the couch was a graveyard where they had all gone to die, it was gross. Whoever cleans this house is not doing a very good job.

Overall the house is nice.
Two Big Issues. The driveway is in need of repair and is difficult to navigate because of a large pothole in the middle of a steep incline. Especially for the elderly. Also there were a good many ants that were in the house. I saw where they had been treated so most were dead but we had to vacuum all of them up for 30 min or so. It wouldn’t have been that bad but they were in the bed too. The house was nice overall but just needs a little TLC. We did reach out to the host about the ants but never had anyone contact us back.

The interior of the property is accurately shown in the pictures. Nice decor and not cluttered. Kitchen could use additional plates, colander, plastic wrap, etc but ok since our meals were fairly simple. The deck area was very dirty including a bucket of used cigars. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were nice. The home description includes warnings about locating the property (unmarked road next to an abandoned building) and the steep driveway. Like others, we had difficulties. I probably should. have paid closer attention to the listing description. Do not recommend if you have height issues. We found numerous live ants and many dead ones (especially in the loft bedroom area). Understand property is in the woods by water but for what we paid, this is not ideal.

Cute but needs work
The cabin is cute and has a good location. Nice kitchen. However we found bowls full of old milk in the drawer which made the place smell. It is also not child friendly. There are open wires exposed at the outlets in the family room and a steep staircase up to the loft. Worked not recommend for kids under she 10. It is also very difficult to find. The directions should be updated with photos to guide you, as you have to go down a road that says private property to reach the cabin. It is very confusing. Still, we would stay there again if it were only adults.

Nice but a little different than expected
It was nice. The very steep driveway was daunting. One bed did not appear to have clean sheets and there were a large number of dead ladybugs in most of the window sills. Everything else was perfectly fine for our needs. All the furnishings were very comfortable.
