I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the bed. They are new memory foam mattresses. Most guests love them but I'm sure here and there will be someone who won't. Again so sorry.

Clean lodge style accommodation with onsite dining overlooking the sound. We had a room in the lodge, clean and fresh, no complaints!

Scenery at Lobster Bay was so serene. Peaceful & beautiful. Lodge is immaculate & super comfortable bed!

When I booked it, it was for the restaurant in an isolated area that looked beautiful. They let me know that they were closed for dinner that night after it was too late to cancel and provided dinner recommendations. We got there and checked in at about 6. After getting settled, about 6:30, we called the closest restaurant (20 minutes away) and found out they closed at 7. The others were 40 minutes away, We made it for a rushed dinner (the restaurant was good enough to provide a great dinner and stay late for us). The room was too small and packed with large furniture.

While I get your disappointment, our hours are very clearly listed on our website under our dining page. You had a month before your stay to check our hours of operation. Additionally, in the confirmation you were sent, we advise you to reach out regarding dining as the hours vary. I reach out to guests the week leading up to their stay as a courtesy to make sure you are prepared upon arrival. Never with the intention to do it past the cancellation window. And not that I have to, as the information is made public. I sent you links to the websites of the restaurants I recommended for dinner, and advised you to check their hours. I never gave any recommendations for anything 40 minutes away. They are all within 15 minutes, and seat until 7:00pm. And one of my recommended places closed at 10:00pm. While the rooms are not large, they have exactly the furniture needed, a queen bed, armoire with tv and some drawers, a small table and two chairs. I always recommend going on an establishments website, even if you are going to book third party, just to familiarize yourself with the offerings, as well as what is in the area for dining. That being said I am always happy to reach out to guests to make sure they are informed, but again this is done as a courtesy.Sorry we didn't meet your expectations.Regards,Elana

Beautiful property right on the ocean. Rooms a bit dated but it was very clean and the staff were accommodating with our late arrival. It’s a nice option in that part of NS. Breakfast was great.

Ye Olde Argyler is a hidden gem. It a bit out of the way from the typical touristy stuff, but if you want a peaceful place to stay, this is it.
