Needs modernising. Stayed here lots of times over the years. Not as good as it used to be. Bathroom cleaniness not too good either. Shower poor. Very noisy on Saturday nights due to pub on the corner.
Food ok but not enough staff. Often breakfast food run out and had to find someone to ask for replacements. Wont be coming back next time.

2nd stay at the Wherry - booked deluxe double room with view. Room clean but en suite showed signs of wear, grouting with mildew in places and damp stain to top of wall above shower.
Lovely view but no net curtains, so very little privacy with curtains open, especially with boats moored up outside.
Corridor carpets and decor quite shabby in places, and lift broke on 2nd night of stay.
Breakfast on 1st day also could have been better, long delay in getting replacement food when buffet trays empty, due to problems in the kitchen, however waitress working really hard and apologetic about the problem which was out of her control.
Only other concern was on checking out, went to reception to settle the bill, only to be told it had already been taken out of my account, and had to ask for receipt to check it was correct as not volunteered by receptionist. It would have been more respectful to me as the paying guest, & bearing how much we had paid, to wait for me to see the bill and check it first before actually removing the money from my account without my pre-authorisation.
