Wedding trip
Publié le 23 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property is exactly like the pictures indicate. The house is in a friendly neighborhood outside of town. The house is very comfortable and spacious. The host responds to your messages in timely manner, and, she is very workable. Would definitely stay there again

Beautiful log home in Vermont
Publié le 2 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property is just as beautiful as depicted in the photos. We were traveling as a 3 generation family group and it provided everything we were looking for. We had ample space to gather and do things as a group or get a little alone time if needed. Entry was easy and effortless. The host (Heather) had provided all the information needed for arrival and departure as well as things to see and do in the area. One thing that was really great was that light switches etc. were labelled so no guessing how to activate fans and lights. I was really surprised to find complimentary toothbrushes and even a shaver in each bathroom. There are starter supplies like this at this rental. We did purchase more toilet paper and paper towels which is to be expected. We used the hot tub several times. It was helpful that instructions on how to care for it and the product needed was right there near the tub. The kitchen was well stocked and I loved the Keurig for coffee. It was great having supplies there for cleaning and the washer and dryer was great. We utilized the towels for the hot tub and were able to wash and dry them when needed, same with the provided bathroom towels. The outside areas were also great. The deck in the front of the house was fabulous for sitting and the back deck was perfect for our evening barbecues. There are chairs and a nice high-top table for eating outside on the back deck. I could go on but I'm running out of space. I highly recommend this listing.

Vermont family
Publié le 23 juin 2024 sur HomeAwaySpacious nice cabin. Exactly as listed. Clean, everything worked and we had everything we needed. There were 12 of us, it rained all weekend and we had plenty of room to spread out or be together, as we wished. My only criticism would be that the screens need to be replaced and/or repaired. In really hot weather that we just had, it’s important to be able to open windows. Half or more of the screens were missing or had holes so could only use half of the windows to move air. Thank god it wasn’t in the high 90’s like the 3 days prior. I highly recommend this property.

Susan, thank you for this 5-star review!
We inspected the windows upon your departure. Of the 27 we have, 20 screens were good, 4 had holes and 3 were missing (they are now out for repair or on order).
On this topic, we have 4 air conditioners (3 are mobile and capable of cooling 600 SF, so they can be moved where needed) and 6 fans (3 are big MaxAir fans).

Family getaway in large, relaxing cabin.
Publié le 8 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayThe place is beautiful and the stay was fantastic. It is up a couple mile hill/road from the center of town, just long enough to make you feel you are out of the hustle. The property presents very well. The rooms are large for private space with 2 common rooms that are just as large for group time. The one suggestion would be to add a check in book of information, including necessary passwords (WIFI) and local attractions/restaurants. We had much of this in the interaction with the host through messaging but a book of suggestions and where to find certain things would be great to see on the table as you come in. Would definitely stay again.

A relaxing location
Publié le 1 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayCommunication with owners was amazing. Heather was a great respondent and communicator.
We were able to get three generations under one roof for a quiet and relaxing family getaway. We shared old stories around the fireplace and played cards late into the night (which is ten thirty pm, for us).
Both my father and sister commented, at separate times, that the location was relaxing and peaceful.
The pictures represent the property correctly.
This was my first experience with VRBO and I am pleased that Heather helped guide us through.
Thank you!

Perfect Modern Rustic Ski Getaway
Publié le 18 mars 2024 sur HomeAwayWe took a chance on booking this one for our 8 ppl- the picture of the house in the snow seemed too good to be true, lol. And it was- but that's because we had practically no snow, so no fault of the owner on that one. The house itself is huge, plenty of room and the common areas/kitchen are quite large. The location is absolutely perfect if you are skiing Okemo.
The hot tub, while a little dated, could easily hold 5 adults and probably 6, and a *very* nice touch was the owner provided separate hot tub 'only' towels.
Just a few things that we either didn't know about or where a little strange: I think the owner or caretaker lives on the first floor. We never saw him/her but their truck was there and it's clear that there is an apartment in the basement and we thought we would have the whole house. Not a big deal, we just didn't know (and again, it could be in the listing?)
There is a large grill on the deck for grilling out- but no grill tools/utensils (or at least we couldn't find them).
The fireplace is more of a 'wood burning stove' then a fireplace, even though it's huge. We had problems with smoke, (yes the flue was open! ;) ), and the only way to have it work was to close the glass doors, but the glass was sooty, so you really couldn't see the fire (but it was definitely blowing out hot air).
Finally, the owner was a fantastic communicator, and check-out was simple- trash out, dishes in dishwasher.. nothing crazy, thank goodness! 5 out of 5 stars!

Hi John, thanks for your feedback. Nobody lives on the basement floor, guests hate that and I would never do that to them! It has our stuff for when we come up. Your contract addresses this and says, "you are renting a 6 BR, 4 BA...." etc etc., and, as you observed, it is quite spacious. I don't want anyone reading this to think they are getting a "partial" house - the two floors are plenty big and tricked out without the lower floor basement. You saw our Sububan in the driveway because we took it out of the garage so that a prior guest whose daughter is in a wheelchair could easily get into the house. Sorry I thought my neighbor put it back after they left, and I could see that being unsettling! The grilling tools are in the cabinet on the right as you walk outside. Regarding the fireplace, it is *not* a wood burning stove - it is quite large and is not one of those feeble inserts. There was special fireplace glass cleaner right next to it (or worst case guests put it under the sink in the kitchen), and you do sometimes have to clean the glass if you had a very hot fire the night before. I had my chimney guy in there after you told me the fireplace was billowing smoke - you had left the flue closed. I had it fully inspected as well and nothing else was wrong with it. The hot tub is the top of the line Jacuzzi model 300 tub with two pumps, waterfall, lights etc. These tubs have not changed and its jets are powerful. When it needs to be replaced we will be doing that - we are very diligent about putting a lot of $$ into the house twice a year to keep everything new and fresh (that goes for furniture, dishes, everything). That said, it is hard to keep jacuzzi pillows in the tub because they seem to get broken off all the time.
