Adequate but needed TLC

I have booked with VRBO for years. The booking said Ski in and out with a renovated surroundings. First … walking down 2 flights of stairs icy wooden walkway , across a icy parking lot, up a bank of snow and down in ski boots is not what I call ski in and out. Close to slopes is one thing! Second, my family cooks in for meals. The pots and pans were dirty and awful. Didn’t have enough silverware or glasses! Mattresses in master and second bedroom were old and uncomfortable. The unit was ok but I wouldn’t book it again.

Okemo Winterplace

They place was great. The only issue was the heat wouldn't turn off so it was very hot, even with windows open. Called the contacts given and they said they would send maintenance and they never came. Also couldn't find any of the wifi information.

Bait and switch

We booked a unit at Winterplace - on mountain at Okemo, plenty of space for all. Confirmed multiple times by Red Awning multiple times, including arrival instructions. Upon arrival we were told we were now going to be at Brookhaven - way off mountain and less capacity. Apparently this isn’t new for Red Awning. Thankfully Carly and Luka at the Jackson Gore Inn worked out the issue and we ended up with comparable accommodations. Be careful when corporate property managers are involved.
