Family Vacation
Posted Aug. 12, 2024 on HomeAwayWe haven’t been on a full extended family vacation in 10 years and this was a wonderful place to go to finally all get together. The lake is beautiful, property grounds and home are very nice. Working with the owner was easy and very informative. The only thing I would say is the home is a tad bit smaller than what I thought in the pictures. Still would highly recommend booking here!

First Family Getaway
Posted Aug. 3, 2024 on HomeAwayThis was the first time we’ve ever used something like VRBO for a trip. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars across the board however there were a few areas that did not meet our expectations.
Communication with the owner was spotty. I often had to message him a few times before hearing a response.
Cleanliness got 3 stars because upon arrival we found a used bandaid on the futon, a used towel hanging in the master bedroom, a large clump of hair on the master bedroom floor, and the Blackstone was not wiped down. The shower in the guest cabin was also covered in bugs although we had no need to use it. We also almost ran out of toilet paper (9 people stayed).
We also found out the hard way (midway through grilling steaks) that the propane had been on the entire first day.
I would definitely suggest wearing water shoes as both of my brothers cut their feet on glass off the beach. And then one found a bullet casing.
Other than those items the island was a blast. Having all of the boat options, the beautiful sandy beach, and the gorgeous large windows for viewing the lake even from inside on our rainy day.

Before each stay, our team performs a thorough cleaning and we have a separate inspection after it’s been cleaned of the entire property, inside and out, including walking the beach to ensure it’s in top condition especially if there are un-rented days in between groups.
While I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed the island’s amenities, beach, & overall experience, I’m concerned to read about the issues you encountered, especially since none of them were ever brought to my attention until now, as we always encourage guests to reach out to us immediately & send pics if any issues arise during their stay. Had we been made aware of these concerns, we would have promptly sent our cleaning or maintenance staff to address them. We’re here to help, & ensuring a comfortable, worry-free stay is our top priority.
To further enhance our service, we’ve recently implemented new software that allows us to document each cleaning and inspection with photos & videos, providing full transparency. In addition, all guests will now receive a personalized portal w/ detailed check-in information, lock codes, & helpful instructions for their stay.
Our goal is to provide a 5-star experience, & we always welcome the opportunity to make things right if given the chance. We appreciate all feedback as it helps us improve, & we look forward to hosting all future guests.

Guys Trip

Beautiful!!
Posted Oct. 9, 2023 on HomeAwayZeron Island is absolutely beautiful! The home is exactly as pictured. We kept remarking at how clean everything was. Even the outdoor bathroom. Not a cobweb to be found. Our pups loved the trail through the woods, and it was so nice to open the door and let them run. We all had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back!!
PS..the photos I have of the Island, sunset and sunrise are gorgeous.

Sage Lake Reunion

Beautiful island paradise in Michigan

Amazing Island Stay!
Posted Sep. 10, 2022 on HomeAwayOur group of friends had a fantastic time staying on Zeron's island! The island was so beautiful and had so many activities - bags, jenga, lawn bowling, stand up paddle boards, and so much more. Joe was super responsive and provided very helpful turn by turn directions to help us find the place. We loved sitting by the fire pits and appreciated the ample supply of pre-chopped wood!
Sleeping arrangements for 13 got a little tight - but with extra air mattresses available we made it work. The grounds around the main cabin would be great for camping too if we had brought tents!
Couldn't have asked for a better trip - we're already looking to book our return :)
