A luxurious modern cabin
Publié le 10 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis beautifully renovated cabin is excellent, with thoughtful touches throughout. The kitchen is well stocked, and the wood burning fireplace is a great central element for the larger-than-you’d expect main area.
The outdoor seating areas are great, the beds comfy, and the bathroom is the most spacious I’ve seen in cabins of this size. The cabin can comfortably host 4 people.
The wifi is 5b-based, a major upgrade over the dsl that many other Shenandoah cabins have. AT&T and Tmobile reception is decent, Verizon is not.
The large windows are gorgeous, and the only thing I’d change is a screen door to allow the outside breeze and sounds in on mild fall and spring days.

Remote retreat

It appears to have been recently updated, with a delightful touch of real plants adding to the cozy ambiance. Nestled in a remote and peaceful location, it offered the perfect getaway. The beds were very comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep.
One note for future guests: a four-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle is recommended, as the gravel road leading to the property is quite steep and bumpy.

If we were to offer some feedback, the outdoor grill and chairs by the firepits were pretty dusty and had cobwebs all over them (I realized cobwebs can form overnight)
Also, past sunset, whenever we tried to go in and out of the property, all sorts of moths/bugs would be attracted to the light inside and fly inside the door (we tried to open/close as quickly as possible). Not really sure what can be done about that because there are so many bugs in the summer, but they were so eager to get in. Maybe some kind of bug trap? Just some suggestions.

Wonderful, serene place
Publié le 9 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved this cabin so much! It is very well designed (Nordic, minimalistic, clean) and every tiny detail is thought through. Plenty of space inside and outside, grill and several fire pits, very well equipped kitchen, lots of games, blankets, even bathrobes. Basically anything you will ever need for a stay. I particularly enjoyed coffee table books that described some inspiration behind the cabin.

Nice Weekend Getaway Cabin

We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor lounging areas with plenty of nature to take in. The cabin itself is ideal to hang out in even if the weather cancels your other outdoor activities, and we were glad we chose this one over the many other cabins in Luray that aren't as inviting on the inside. The only con of this property is the hill to reach it is a little daunting and difficult to drive up, although this is mentioned in the check-in instructions.

Came here for an extended weekend to celebrate my partners birthday. It was just the two of us and we had more than enough space. His end goal, chop some wood and make a fire and we did exactly that lol.
Also, just 15-20 mins drive away from the city of Luray. With daily light savings time, we found ourselves leaving during the day and coming back to have dinner in the cabin.
