Shenandoah Solitude in the Blue Ridge mountains

Welcome to the enchanting Shenandoah Solitude, a picturesque retreat nestled amidst the majestic peaks and lush forests of the Blue Ridge mountain range.

This cozy and spacious cabin is the perfect destination for your group to experience a rejuvenating escape, where adventure and relaxation harmoniously blend together. While large enough for a group of 8, Shenandoah Solitude is cozy enough to make smaller groups feel warm and comfortable.

The cabin offers 3 private bedrooms, 2 full baths, modern amenities, a paved driveway, a hot tub, and much, much more!

2 king beds, 1 queen bed, and a full-sized sleeper sofa will comfortably sleep 6, and we have additional bedding for a max of 8. The kitchen offers modern fixtures and ample space with an oven, refrigerator, and microwave.

If you'd rather cook outside, we've got you covered with both gas and charcoal grills. While you're out there, you can play a game of horseshoes in the professional horseshoe pit or challenge each other to a game of cornhole (available in the summer months)!

At night, sit with your friends or loved ones in the hot tub while looking out at the lights of the valley or stars above. On rainy days, there is still plenty to do inside. Watch Smart TVs with satellite channels, play board games, read books from the cabin's book library, challenge your friends to a game of foosball, or hang out around the fireplace. There is a landline phone with free local and long-distance calls. A new high-speed Wi-Fi has just been installed. Feel free to stream music or watch movies during your stay!

Enjoy stunning mountain views and sunrises from the covered decks. Soak in the indoor jacuzzi or the large outdoor hot tub! Make a huge campfire and tell stories with your friends late into the evening hours!

PLEASE NOTE: During winter months, a four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle is required.

Pets are welcome! 2 dogs maximum. There is a weight limit of 50 lbs or less per dog. No cats allowed, sorry!

Best place we have rented yet
This house was amazing. From the views, the sunrises over Shenandoah National park while enjoying coffee, relaxing in the hottub after a day of hiking, or just sitting by the firepit looking down on the valley or up at the stars while my wife made smores. The kitchen was modern and well equipped. We made breakfast every morning and cooked dinner twice with no issues or struggles. We actually preferred to hang out at the house vs going out. The road to get to it is dirt/gravel and has some steep areas

What a View!
Wonderful views! Peaceful, nature surrounded, nicely appointed, clean, comfortable, and super cozy cabin. Easy communication with the property management company. Community road leading to the cabin is unpaved and steep at times so 4x4 highly recommended. Downtown Luray is nearby with a couple of restaurants and a brewery, grocery stores close by, and the entrance to the Shenandoah park is within 10-15 minutes drive! Perfect location.

Fantastic Anniversary Getaway
My wife and I booked this place for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We took the long winding road up the mountain trail and after about a mile and half we made it to the house. First off, the view, just wow! Overlooking the Shenandoah Valley, it took our breath away. The outdoor layout was awesome with multiple trails to the firepit (plenty of wood stocked!). The interior of the house was very charming with bedrooms available on each floor. We spent most of the time sitting on the swing, relaxing in the hot tub or sitting around the firepit. Three days was not enough and my wife has already requested we return for our next wedding anniversary. High marks all around!

Incredible Mountain Retreat!
This home is an amazing rental. Beautiful views, plenty of room, very clean and well appointed with everything that you need. Hot Tub, Fire Pit, Grill, Decks, Swing, full nice kitchen, amazing primary bedroom. This place is a winner!

Relaxing escape from the city
My husband and I had a relaxing 4th of July weekend! Our dog loved exploring the property! We went hiking and loved going in to downtown Luray! We had a amazing time at Hawksbill Brewery for a four course dinner pairing! Waking up every morning to the views of the mountains was amazing!

A Peaceful Stay in Shanendoah
Property is in a great location. Cant beat the views from the house. House was clean and comfortable overall but gets quite hot with the sun coming in thru the main window and the A/C isn’t all that effective. Recommend a screen door be installed on the sliding glass door so that it can remain open to allow for fresh air to come in without letting the bugs in. Lowest level toilet did not always flush.

Cute cozy cabin with an amazing view, close to everything but entirely secluded.
The cabin was beautiful and so cozy. The fireplace is easily turned on and off which makes it something we actually used quite a bit, especially on the one rainy afternoon. The view was amazing and the sunrise over the mountains was unbelievable. Hot tub was perfect. Grilling and cornhole made for a really great day in. Completely secluded but the location was so close to everything we wanted to visit as soon as we left the neighborhood. The only thing we had real issues with was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. I read the reviews and expected some bugs in the jacuzzi tub, we are in the woods with air conditioning units they can sneak in through. So I cleaned the tub out before use and ran the jets. Once I actually got in with soap and hotter water, black specks of mold came out of the jets. Our shower was clogged before any use. That was not an enjoyable part of our experience.

A great mountain cabin getaway with a hot tub!
This was a great getaway to a cabin in the mountains with a hot tub! Nice fire pit, cornhole, grill with propane, and scenic picnic area. Kitchen was small but sufficient. My only suggestion would be to have a larger more comfortable couch. It was fine for a couple but if you have a family of 4 or more the family room is small. Overall it was a great weekend getaway with an awesome sunrise of the shenandoah valley and close to Shenandoah national park and luray.

Great experience!, however there was hair on the walls of the shower lots of spider webs and dust that should have been cleaned. I did a little wiping and cleaning to make myself more comfortable..would not stop me from going to that cabin again, just kinda gross to see someone else's hair in the shower before you get in.

Breathtakingly Gorgeous!!
The title says it all. The location is remote, quiet and so peaceful. The cabin was exactly as described. And you can not get a better, more magnificent sunrise than from the porch and (as we did) from the hot tub. Communication with the owners was easy - and they were able to do a special request of adding fresh cut flowers in a vase for us upon our arrival, as we were going for a Valentine’s Day weekend trip. We will absolutely be back to stay in this location again this year, and it may become our favorite weekend getaway destination! So very happy with everything. A+++ 11/10. HIGHLY recommended!!

Nice Weekend
We had a really nice time during our stay at Shenandoah Solitude. We were with a group of friends so our plan was to enjoy to property, make delicious meals and hang out. When we arrived the oven didn't work and the stove took ages. We called the caretaker about the stove and she was unable to help us. We were also lucky enough to have snow which was beautiful but created a layer of ice right in front of the front door and there was no salt in the house. Except for those two snafus, the rooms were great and the hottub was amazing. I would definitely return but more likely in the summer when we could enjoy the outdoor space more.

Best vacation Iv ever had!
The views and functionality of this property honesty was the highlight to my trip. I had myself wishing I reserved more nights. Lots of amenities, even a few items left over from previous guests (salt, pepper, spices) that were nice to have as we forgot to pack them. I’m hoping to come back again this summer. This seriously is your home away from home 🥰

Cute cabin in the mountains!
This cabin is super cute and great getaway! The view is really beautiful across to Shenandoah National Park. The rooms look just like the pictures, though it did feel smaller/cozier in person. Also love what they’ve done with the property with different stations and nature trail around the property. The road up to the cabin is gravel so pay attention to the 4wd suggestion - especially when it snows like it did on our trip! Location is nice because it’s just 15 minutes down the mountain to downtown Luray and grocery stores. Communication was super fast and they were flexible when we needed to extend due to a winter storm. Taking one star off because we had some issues with the appliances and there were lots ladybug and stink bugs inside.

Location is beautiful, jacuzzi was perfect... did not rate 5 stars because lacked a few things you should expect.... too much dog hair from previous guests, no dish towels, no extra trash bags, a few things from previous guests left behind (sock, brush), not enough pillows for six guests, no bedding for the sleep sofa... but the caretaker was very kind and quick to respond and provided.

Beautiful cabin on Eastern slope of Massanutten Mtn. with great views across Shenandoah valley, Luray and to Skyline Drive. Kitchen small but functional with amenities, cookware and basic spices, cooking oil. Fire pit, rocking swing, horse shoes, hot tub and picnic table all with a view. Gas fire keeps things cozy and beds all nice. 15 mins to Food Lion, Walmart, etc and 20 mins to downtown Luray.

Truly enjoyed our stay at this cabin and it was just as described in listing...although I had overlooked that there were no washer/ dryer but that's not a negative against anyone but myself...would definitely stay again if in area.
