Nestled among the trees on the beautiful banks of Mill Creek, this waterfront home in Lusby boasts nearly 360-degree views of an inlet of Chesapeake Bay. Tranquil and scenic, this expansive piece of property is a place for launching kayaks from the dock each morning, afternoons of playing on the beach nearby, and evenings spent stargazing in the blissful warmth of the hot tub.
This two-story home enjoys a gorgeous waterfront location on a quiet inlet that opens to where the Patuxent River meets the bay. It's Calvert County living at its finest, offering a deep water dock, two kayaks, space to park a boat, even a portable Nettle Net for swimming when the local jellyfish are out. You'll be in the midst of lovely bayfront beaches, including the private Drum Point Beach (parking passes are provided, less than two miles) and the picturesque beach at Flag Ponds Nature Park (10 miles). Within a short drive are Calvert Cliffs (five miles) and other state parks, as well as the amenities, restaurants, and charm of Solomon’s Island (seven miles).
The house was designed and outfitted for spending memorable days outdoors. As you head to the beach each morning, pack up the collapsible chairs, sand toys, and beach reads, all provided for your use. Upon your return, you can barbecue on either of the Green Egg grills and dine on the deck overlooking the cove, watch your kids delight in the play structure in the side yard, and unwind on the patio down near the water's edge.
The defining feature of the interior is the sunlight, courtesy of large, plentiful windows framing scenes of the water below. Between the waterfront family room (with a TV), an adjacent living room, and a fun-filled den upstairs (with a multi-game arcade console), there's ample space to relax and spend time together. After a night of board games at the dining room table, retreat to five bedrooms, all of which have TVs with full app capabilities. There are two on the main floor - one with an en suite bathroom - and three more upstairs, including a light-filled primary suite.
