Beautiful property on the lake. Hostess was very nice and the room was clean. Could hear the lake through the windows and back screen door.

What was really wonderful is that although it is next to the highway, we didn't hear the road from inside our room. The view out our window was incredible. We will be staying again.

Fix the water problems
Publié le 7 août 2024 sur HotelsI have never checked into a motel/hotel where you were handed a gallon of bottled water because of the quality of the well water. I reserved most of the water to fill my water bottles for the next day leaving none for the coffee pot. Big mistake. The water made even the coffee barely tolerable. I could not even feel clean taking a shower. The soap never really washed off leaving a sticky feeling. Could not eat to get to my next hotel to use their shower.
Nice location and helpful owner, but the water issues take away from the place.

Joseph, I'm sorry that the water was not up to your standards. I'd like to point out that many places along Lake Superior have the same issues with water taste. The lake's close proximity causes this. Solbakken has the water tested each year and is routinely found to have safe drinking water. As a part of your nightly rate, we are happy to provide bottled water for your drinking pleasure.Thank you

View is beautiful. Easy access-right off highway. Plenty of parking. Property and rooms were clean.

Fun lodge feel to our room. The main lodge room/lobby was great; filled with games, puzzles, books, and a pool table. Also had snacks, beverages and ice cream treats for sale which satisfied our cravings. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio of our room, that faced Lake Superior.
