First stay log cabin
Publié le 13 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our first stay at the log cabin at Lyford and we found this to be very comfortable and welcoming. The location was very quiet and peaceful. Very tidy and had all the amenities, great fire place which kept the place warm throughout. Would recommend this as a place for a quiet getaway with only a short drive from Christchurch.

Great night out in a cute wee cabin
Publié le 5 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were not there long enough to experience the space fully. But I think from what I saw its a great space with an awesome little fireplace. The space was a bit dirty on arrival with ashes in the fire place. But all and all not to bad

The fire was still burning during the morning of your arrival so we left it burning as to keep heating the house. Ashes belong in the fireplace - it's how it's done 😁. I would not call that dirt: it's a necessity for heating when you're in the mountains. Except for scooping out ashes when it gets too full, you do not 'clean' the inside of a fireplace.

Publié le 12 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayWe truly enjoyed our stay at the cabin, enjoyed the area and took a nine hike down Irina’s track. Perfect getaway for peace and quiet in nature. Claudine was very welcoming!
