Perfect set up
Publié le 16 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayUs and our adult children had a wonderful time. Lots of spaces to sit and relax. The water was so clear and not very deep. They raced to beat the sun and get in the water to watch it rise. Thank you

Peaceful family weekend
Publié le 3 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had such an amazing stay after our wedding weekend. Our families had enough space to enjoy each other’s company. They had a great time fishing, kayaking, playing badminton, sitting by the fire pit and just relaxing. A really great place to enjoy our family.

Comfy Lake Ontario visit
Publié le 24 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayOlder home with lots of charm had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We were at a family reunion most of the time but were very very happy with the selection of toys to keep my son’s 2 yr old occupied. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Great place to experience the eclipse and quiet lake life
Publié le 11 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe found the cottage very easily and it was as expected, you have 3 bedrooms on the first floor and 2 upstairs. There is a futon in the living room as well. Kitchen was well equipped and we were very comfortable. Lake steps were closed, but we enjoyed the access way.
The host was very quick to respond to some questions we had
If low-key is what you want, this is the perfect spot.

Nice to come back to beautiful sunsets every night and all the amenities you can think of. Then to wake up to the beautiful sunrises each morning was truly special!

Good stay, not great
Publié le 9 août 2021 sur HomeAwayThere is hardly beach access, which is what we were really planning on for this trip. The only way into the water is over huge boulders that were recently placed there to prevent erosion of the shoreline. The "beach" down the street, which we were told was for loading/unloading kayaks, was so filthy that we could not even get in. The house is large, the AC is good, the water pressure in the shower could not be worse. The bugs are UNREAL. so so so bad. spiders and gnats everywhere, inside and out. Like big spiders too, spooky big guys. Overall the stay was good, but don't expect easy access to the water, which is what one would expect when staying at a water front property.

This group of guests stayed at home July25 under Hannah Z., and did not adhere to the rules set forth provided in advance of stay, as well as within the home for reference. They trespassed on my neighbors property in order to enter the water. I informed them of this violation of the rules, after they checked out. I was not rude, I informed them of the access issues for boating, down the street and the local launch sites for kayaks in advance of their trip. The beach down the street is accessible, at times seaweed may gather at the shoreline. I also inform all tenants about the issue of bugs in the evening which are attracted to the lights, so again in advance of trip, I advised keeping lights off whenever possible. This is a waterfront property. This tenant then did choose to stay again at my home a few weeks later. If the accommodations were not sufficient, why did they return, they could have made me aware of any concerns in advance of this next trip? On this subsequent stay booked under David H. for Aug 6, the guest review made similar comments. I state that guests are informed in advance of stay regarding the water access and issue that bugs may be in the area in the evenings.
