Lovely Short Break
Publié le 15 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rock Pipit Lodge. The accommodation has been really tastefully decorated, has everything you need, and is very comfortable and cosy.
The other great features are the art room, utility room and masses of games and puzzles on offer. The grounds are beautiful, too, with amazing views of the surrounding countryside.
On our first day we had a lovely walk from the top field to Lee Abbey and the bay, and it is a great base for local attractions such as Woody Bay Station, which is great fun, and Lynton and Lynmouth, including our favourite walk to Watersmeet.
We would definitely recommend a stay, and hope to book another visit in the not too distant future, and I love the thought of doing one of the art courses run here.
I didn't get to meet our host, but Bridget was very helpful when I made an enquiry about directions.
Thank you for a lovely relaxing short break away : )

Superb
Publié le 18 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a fantastic stay. The lodges are tastefully and thoughtfully decorated with extra touches eg original art work, vases, lamps, throws etc which make you feel very special and cared for. The accomodation is absolutely spotless. The grounds are spacious and well kept with flower beds in the communal and private spaces. There are 2 fields to walk in, which have pathways through wild meadows. Both the inside and outside spaces have been created with the environment and sustainability in mind but without compromising on comfort or luxury. The owners provide a utility room and use of an art room. The owner thoughtfully loaned my 15 yr old daughter some binoculars and gave us tips on finding exmoor ponies, deer and feral goats which was the reason for our visit. We were delighted to find all of these. Thank you Richard. We can't praise the experience highly enough so if you want a truly lovely break to renew and refresh yourself and go away feeling great and ready for the world again go here!

Great stay in beautiful surroundings
Publié le 22 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe had a short break here in early July with our young dog.
The property had been newly refurnished and much thought had gone into sustainability.
We also really enjoyed the fields, which had been planted with wild flowers and had paths mown for interesting walks. There were benches so you could sit down and admire the wonderful views.
The owners were very responsive and excellent at suggesting days out and where to eat.
We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Wonderful, clean, friendly and convenient accommodation!
Publié le 8 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayThis was a little trial holiday for us - Although we have poodles of our own, my partner is severely allergic to dogs, meaning it's very difficult for us to book holidays away with our own dogs, as dog-friendly accommodation is usually laced in allergens and he struggles to breathe! Bit of an ironic situation we're always stuck in!
However, we thought we would trial this accommodation as it looked so new, clean and not far from home if it didn't work.
We are so happy to report it exceeded all our expectations, and we had a lovely time. We really recommend it.
The property itself is flawless, pristine with lovely touches everywhere, carefully provided by the hosts. Such as fresh daffodils on the windows, and even a little basket of supplies for the dogs.
Hot showers, fresh towels, comfortable bed. Particularly liked the little seating area by the window watching out onto the gardens and beyond. The kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need should you wish to cook.
There are great amenities on site too - washing machines/driers and games for children.
It's a lovely quiet spot, really convenient for exploring. We managed to visit Lynton, Lynmouth, Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Braunton, Barnstable and lots of lovely other little areas in such a short time (4 days/3 nights). Great food can be found all around - even as a vegan and vegetarian, we didn't go hungry and found lots of choices.
Very dog friendly - we recommend visiting Brauton Burrows! Thank you!
