Laid-back and easy-going in Maafushi

Posted Feb. 9, 2016 on Hotels
The Arora Inn is small in size and a bit further from the "more active" side of the island but perfectly comfortable and the extremely friendly, attentive staff enhanced my stay. Hot days/nights kept at bay with very efficient a/c and ceiling fan. The shower in the bathroom is a little challenging as there is nothing separating it from getting the rest of the bathroom totally wet. There is one TV on the premises (in the lobby) that the staff kindly let me watch American electoral politics on CNN International!

Horrible value for money

Posted Dec. 26, 2015 on Hotels
Perhaps there was a time the the Arora was a good option to stay on Maafushi. But it is certainly not a leading accommodation choice anymore. The room barely resembles the photos. They are dark and airless. There are no decorations or attempt to make it more presentable. There is no TV, the WiFi is almost unusably slow. The bathroom is so small, you almost have to stand in the toilet bowl to get under the shower head. The staff have a relative low level of English (when compared to most workers on the island). Breakfast is a joke. Plus it's about as far away for the beach or restaurants as you can get. I would say it's fine as a backpacker/budget option, but at the prices they are charging, pretty much ANY other hotel on the island would be a unbelievably better choice. Avoid the Arora until they cut their prices.

Beautiful Place to Stay

Posted Jun. 15, 2015 on Expedia
Pros: Nice homely feel.
Cons: There was some sewage smell from the toilet, but did not really bothered us. Neither did we complain about it.
Was there in June 2015. Nice clean rooms. Very homely. Nice owners and many activities to plan for. Did a package tour with them for USD40, which includes Sandbank, Mantle point (no mantle spotted though), Turtle point and dolphin point, with lunch on the sandbank. Quite a distant from the pier, but, it is a small island....every where is "not so far" to walk.

Nice and comfy hotel by the beach

Posted Apr. 19, 2015 on Expedia
Pros: All staff is very friendly and were helping with everything we need. Rooms were cozy and furnished with all necessary.
Cons: Room cleaning could be more natty.
We spend 7 nights in that lovely hotel and we are really pleased with service and nice friendly atmosphere. Food was good but if you want to try something really Maldivian, then you have to ask for "Maldivian diner" which is different curries. I didn't liked fish in meals we had, but all other thing were fine. All staff is very friendly and caring like good friends helping with everything you need. Also we had a better price for snorkeling, but you also have to check other places. All in all we were pleased with this hotel.

Хороший бюджетный отель

Posted Jan. 29, 2017 on Hotels

Posted Oct. 22, 2015 on Hotels
服务非常好,接送都有做到,酒店员工也很热情,早餐很棒。最大的不足是床垫质量比较差,能摸到弹簧,睡着很硬。酒店位置远离中心区和最好的沙滩。如果换了床垫我会非常推荐
