Avoid rooms on the terrace - its a restaurant!
Posted Sep. 2, 2017 on Expedia
Pros: Not impressed. in particular the guy who mans the front desk is in a world of his won - expect to wait a long time to check in and out, else around
Cons: See above
Location: Shame about the hotel as the location is fantastic - right in the centre and ideally placed for a huge range of lovely bars and restaurants!
We paid extra for a room on the terrace. Its was grubby, bedding smelt and badly needed airing and there were horrible stains on the side of bed and wall - some looked like dried blood - yuk! Our door opened immediately out onto a table - part of the restaurant. The restaurant is busy at lunch time and evening -and so noisy until midnight and beyond.
Not want we thought we were buying!

Friendly, central and very good food.
Posted Feb. 24, 2017 on ExpediaThe hotel is just off the Market Square within easy walking distance of the Vrijthof, all sights, restaurants and cafes. The fine dining restaurant was excellent and very popular. Despite the central location, the rooms had very good sound proofing so there was no noise at all. The owner/managers were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Great location and room
Posted Dec. 16, 2016 on HotelsThe location is ideal as it is only a few minutes walk to Maastricht centre. Getting close to hotel entrance in a car is a challenge as there are pop up bollards at one end of the road which allow busses and taxis through but not personal cars. There are ways around this but my sat nav couldn’t find it so we just parked in the Q Park car park which is about 3 min walk. Room was nice size and bed was very comfortable. There is a small lift that can fit 2 people in. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I will stay here again and would recommend it.

Well worth staying if you are visiting Maastricht
Posted Oct. 10, 2016 on HotelsLovely hotel very close to the centre of Maastricht. Nicely decorated hotel and room and a very decent size! Really a lovely place to stay. Faults? Well there is no parking at the hotel, which is not what is shown; you have to park in the public parking and walk. Also the door of the bathroom has a huge mirror on the inside, nicely showing you sitting on the toilet.... But the positives? Comfy, roomy, lovely staff, great location and the breakfast is OUTSTANDING! Initially you walk into the dining room and think 'is that it?' but then the food starts being served fresh and hot and just keeps on coming....

Fantastic food, fabulous people

Pros: The ambiance and most definitely the food
Cons: A few light globes could be replaced but you're not there for the light globes - it doesn't detract from the overall appeal
Location: Centrally located, Markt at the end of the street. Within easy walking distance of most places of interest.
Some of the facilities may not have been up to standard but the enthusiasm, friendship, quality and presentation of the food were fantastic. I would not stay anywhere else when visiting Maastericht again.

Bath was great. room had no Internet connection at all, despite the claim that they had free wifi.

Great disappointment.
Posted Aug. 17, 2016 on HotelsWi-fi did not work on the third floor unless the door was open. When it worked it was very, very slow. Fixtures on the bathroom sink were loose and not msintained.

Breakfast was awesome and the people very friendly. Wifi, however, was slow and in and out. Otherwise, great.
