Great stay for a family reunion.

Amazing Property

The property was exactly what is promised, the communication with Melissa leading up to the stay was top notch, and the home itself was so comfortable and had plenty of room for our huge family to spread out. One of the things that I loved the most was the cove that the property is on which is perfect for swimming. We brought our boat and it was super easy to get it on and off. We all wish we had a few more days there!

Canton Weekend

The house was spacious enough for all of us and had lots of gathering spaces - living room, eat-in kitchen, game room, back porch, fire pit, and dock. The house was very clean and well maintained. We would definitely rent this property again.

We are in the process of switching over to private software and I will be sending out repeat guest coupons for future stays. Great House!

So peaceful!
Publié le 14 nov. 2022 sur HomeAwayThe house was perfect for our adult church group of 14! Everyone had a place at the big table. We enjoyed games, the fire pit, beautiful sunset!
A really bad storm came through Saturday night and the host sent me a message about the warning she received on her phone and told us the safest place in the house. And she was on her 25th anniversary trip in Hawaii!
Everyone of our group said I hit it out of the park with the house!

Extended Family retreat and Birthday

October is a great month in Texas to experience outdoor family fun with many activities to do around the house. The house provides ample sitting areas for folks to have conversations and enjoy family time. We had 12 people with different t ages and able to find plenty of places for folks to sleep. Lake level was down so didn’t bring boat or kayaks. The views are fantastic and the host is very accommodating.

We enjoyed hosting your family and you are right-the fall is a beautiful time to spend here! Actually the sunsets are great year around. Most people think lake and summers but truly there is never a bad time to enjoy the back porch views and a fire pit while being lakeside! Great weekend get away
Publié le 10 oct. 2022 sur HomeAwayWe loved spending time with family and friends here. The property is beautiful with lots of space for people of different ages to engage in fun activities. The view of the lake is beautiful.
The only issue we had was spiders inside and spider webs outside the property. The property can use some pest control for sure.

We actually had pest treatment, specifically for spiders, just a few days before you arrived. October is one of the worst months for them and they love to spin their webs nightly so it is absolutely impossible to get rid of them completely. I never understood why Halloween decorations always had spider webs until I owned a lake house-we like to keep our decor organic! We really do treat often and with environmentally friendly treatments. I apologize for the inconvenience they may have caused.

Fortner Follies
