The property is clean and basic, the location isn’t exactly the best, no walking distance to anything apart from a supermarket but I wouldn’t advise walking around there at night, although the room was clean there was an industrial smell of bleach used to clean the bathroom and the entire room reeked of it which wasn’t very pleasant.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Sorry to hear your stay was not ideal. We had a new housekeeper who was a bit obsessive with the bleach. This has been addressed and should not happen again. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Location is everything, we are close to quite a few locations other guest frequent - Sports fields, hospital, airport and The Shamrock. Hopefully we will see you again and earn a 5/5.

It’s the small things that count. The meals were cooked to perfection and the staff even gave our young boys treats for being good. We really enjoyed the stay.

I chose this accommodation because I needed to be and stay safe as I travelled for work. The staff were excellent, the accomodation of a high standard, and I did indeed feel safe. I do recommend this as an option for individuals and families alike. Fan!

Had a lovely one night stay in the King Spa Suite. Staff were very friendly on arrival. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Mackay
