Property was clean, as was the general area surrounding the cabin.
However, the furniture was tired and the bed as hard as a rock as were the pillows.
But overall the property, which was never expected to be 5 star, met my overall requirements of a clean and tidy place to overnight on a limited budget.

Thank you for your review. We've had no other complaints about the bed in that cabin and have had several return guests request that cabin specifically so we're guessing it's what type of bed you're accustomed to. We keep our prices down so furniture is maintained but not always updated. We're pleased you found our cabins clean as we pride ourselves on cleanliness at a good price.

Sorry to take so long to respond to your complaint. We do apologize for the treatment you received as it is our policy to order a taxi for our guests on request as we have a direct automated service. The staff member you dealt with has now moved on to other employment so we are confident this will not happen again.

Excellent basic accommodation with friendly staff.
Publié le 27 oct. 2016 sur HotelsAfter a Long day's driving it was great to be greeted by a Friendly, efficient receptionist with loads of local knowledge. We were quickly given our key and directed to our ensuited cabin. All was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The location is quiet considering how close it is to the Bruce Highway. It is within easy walking distance to a shopping centre that includes places to eat. Will definitely stay here the next time we are driving north. Great value for money.

Thanks for your review Fred. Getting here is no problem if you enter Farrelly's Road from the Bruce Highway. Unfortunately some navigator systems try to take you in the back way and the old median strip causes confusion. Glad you found us. Hopefully you'll drop by again now you know where we are.

Pour : clean cabin ( strongly disinfected)
Contre : get a properly trained receptionist,who understands the customers viewpoint.
work out a key business area like internet bookings, no glitches.
Emplacement : Mackay has a good range of shopping, and restaurants. Eimio hotel overlooking the water should not be missed.
booking though Wotif, three days prior to stay. staff on arrival did not know of our booking, blamed wotif even though we had a sms confirmation. ḧas happened a few times this week¨
have you ever stood not knowing whether your going to have a place to stay with thoughts of how you will get a refund running through your head. no eye contact from staff member, mumbling to the desk, uncertainty about whats available.
eventually put into a cabin right next to the entry road with traffic coming and going till late and very early in the morning. just been cleaned, very strong disinfectant smell, pile of laundry in entry.
same standard of customer service on leaving.

We apologize for the unsatisfactory experience you had on your recent visit and can only conclude that the receptionist was flustered at not being able to find notification of your booking. The sms you received as confirmation came from Wotif, not the accommodation provider. The linen outside your cabin was awaiting pick up as the room had only just been cleaned, hence the fresh smell of cleaning agents. This can happen when we allow early check in. Again, we apologise if you were not happy with your stay here and thank you for your feed back. We usually have nothing but praise for our customer service but we always work on improving.
