We really enjoyed our two week stay. Our bungalow #9 was so beautiful. The Mini-split AC was quiet and wonderful. Everything was great even though we don't even do diving. We a saw some of the best sunsets we've ever seen...right from our own porch! The family and staff were so nice... especially Jessa and Myra Christine joy. They were so welcoming. The food was excellent and we were always torn between staying at the resort or going out to explore other local flavors. Pricing was very fair and for all who may read this.... please give this beautiful place a try, you won't be disappointed.

Hi David & Nissy, thank very much for your review. It was a pleasure having you as our guests in the resort. Even tough our WIFI has not been restored (after the typhoon), we knew you were getting along with using mobile data quite well. Thanks again and hope to see you some other time.Best regards from SLD Management and Staff.

Thanks for your feedback. Indeed there was no hot water one morning and we are sorry for that. We informed you that there was no WiFi since GLOBE had not reinstalled yet since the typhoon. But there was good Internet access using Mobile Date.Best regardsSouthern Leyte Divers

Seems I ran out of room to leave an accurate revie

So disappointing I booked this place off of then pictures and reviews online and was really disappointed when we arrived. I had booked the only single bungalow on site bc all the others were duplex types and it was to be a romantic get away for my fiancé and myself. The pictures on the website showed clean beachfront w rooms having rose petals over the beds and towels folded like seashells. But when we got there we were told they had gave our bungalow to someone else but had upgraded us at no extra charge. How nice of them not to charge me for giving the room away that I specifically booked. But I let that go trying to make the best of it. We come into our bungalow expecting the romantic extras shown in the advertising but was again disappointed at the one sheet folded w two towels at the end of the bed. No rose petals and the room was so hot bc the air conditioner was not on. By morning it was finally cooled off and we went to breakfast. I have to say the breakfast was very good and the waitress was excellent up until the last day of our stay. After breakfast we went to the beach for a swim and walk in the sand. I cut my foot bc the entire beach was littered w trash Everywhere. So sad. Even the water was littered changing our plans for a swim. Or a walk. So we explored other parts of maasin city for the next couple days. The rooms have a note left on the table saying if we want our room cleaned or fresh linen to drop the key at the bar and also

Thank you Mr.Jordan for your constructive criticism and we apologize, that we could not fulfill your expectations. Actually, we were convinced that you would appreciate the upgrade since this was our new bungalow, more spacious & comfortable like the one you choose. It is true, that there were no rose petals and no “seashell” folded towels decorated on your bed. The images come from our archive and do not necessarily indicate that the decoration in every room is always the exactly the same – most important is, that the rooms are neat and clean and everything is properly working. We also made sure, that you were the only guests in the duplex - so you had no neighbours. Happily, we would have arranged some romantic “extras” like candle-light dinner and room decoration at no extra charge, if we had been informed earlier. It is not our custom to switch on the AC beforehand since we can not exactly know when the guests are arriving and indeed all of us should avoid unnecessary waste of energy! The AC is powerful enough to cool off the bungalow within 15 minutes. Indeed, the beach was anything but clean and inviting. It might be interesting for you to know, that the months of June until November fall in the HABAGAT (South-West-Monsoon) season, this also is the time, typhoons hit the country. Surely you'll remember, there were strong winds (2 typhoons within 10 days) and rather big waves, the time you were here. These weather/water conditions wash a lot of rubbish and also natural materials like seaweed ashore. Our staff is permanently trying to clean up as best as they can, but sometimes it is not possible to keep up with the volume of the mass. It happens that we finally have the beach clean, but the overnight high tide brings back the rubbish! Best time to enjoy our beach/water is from Nov. on. Hope our point of view will find acceptance. Regards

The worst place i have been in Philippines so far. Every thing his overpriced or unavailable, the boss his an alcoolique and i didn't see a smile for my all stay. Every body i meet since i left had the same feeling. Hope i never go to a place like that again.

Dear anonymous – Besset Remi – yes indeed we will never forget your stay in our resort. In 23 years we have experienced thousands of happy and pleased guests a lot of them are multiple repeaters (see Expedia reviews). In those years of course, we also had some guests who did not get along to well with our resort in terms of price policies, accommodation, food etc. Even a few of them were even getting rude and showed no behavior: But YOU topped it all! You had the chance to check our resort amenities, prices on food and drinks through the internet. So why complain about the prices? Since everything seemed to be too expensive for you, you decided to have your drinks/food outside – which is o.k. Not o.k. was that night, when you came back drunk to the resort before midnight (restaurant/bar was closed already) and violently knocked on the door of the staff room and demanded for a beer. So why confuse the victim with the offender? But you still got your beer after a lot of arguing – and sorry - that we only could offer you 4 instead of 5 different kind of beers (one brand was not available on the whole island for a week) at that time. Your manners at the breakfast table where worth, that our staff took pictures of using our small jam bowls as ashtrays – very disgusting (see our facebook site). So you are wondering that nobody had a smile for you? This is the kind of guest, we would be happy to be spared of. The Southern Leyte Divers Management
