The pool, fitness area and spa were out of action when I was there (significant renovation/maintenance) so if that's important - check status of work before confirming booking.

I asked for a non-smoking room. The room smelled of old cigarette smoke that they attempted to mask with an obnoxious air freshener which made it worse.

Had to switch rooms because ac wasn’t working. In second room handle for shower was on side of bathtub. Pool closed again. Probably going to stay somewhere else next time.

It appears that a lot of the staff has changed in the last month or so, big improvement. Friendly and efficient. Clean and well lit.

We were going to visit Pennyrile state park but they had no availability. The indoor pool and hot tub were fun, breakfast was nice, and room was clean. Would definitely stay again. About a 30 minute drive to state park to enjoy last day of sandy beach being open for the season. Worked out fine.
