Communication with Joyce was excellent - she was always available, and very descriptive with the overall checkin/checkout process. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. (:

Family Reunion
Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe were in the area for a family reunion and the Peter Ray House was perfect for our needs since it had a bedroom and bathroom downstairs as well as the full suite upstairs. Everything was well stocked, clean, and just a really cute house and grounds! I wish we had been there on the weekend so more places were open. The stairs going in the back door don’t have railings so we were extra cautious getting some older family members in the house. The stairs to the second floor are steep but have railings so it wasn’t a problem. Overall this is a great property and we will definitely go back.

This house is awesome. It is clear the owners put a lot of love and themselves into what appears to have been a total renovation. But renovation or not, the house still has all the charm of the 1870’s home that it is. We were only here for a night but I’ve would love to have stayed much longer.

Peter Ray House, second year in a row
Publié le 31 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayAmazing town full of history. This house and many of the surrounding buildings are made with native limestone and look absolutely beautiful. We spent five days attending the AIM Grand National Trapshooting Championships near Sparta, IL. It’s an easy 45 minute drive and worth it for the opportunity to stay in this beautiful home.

Weekend getaway
Publié le 24 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayHouse was perfect. Old house in an old small town that was perfect for a night getaway. The house is in very good shape and has great history to it. Bed was comfortable and everything was very clean.

Great stay at the Peter Ray house
Publié le 3 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had a great stay. The property was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, as were the bathrooms. We were a group of five and there was plenty of room for all of us. The property was in excellent condition and well maintained. We will definitely be back.
