Owner misrepresented property-it’s a scam!

40 degrees outside…seemed like 40 degrees inside!
Owner promised to turn on heat “remotely” but didn’t. He knew heater wasn’t working.
We checked out the next morning at 9am. We couldn’t take the cold! Owner still charged us for the second day.

Dear Bruno, thank you for your review. You booked our property from 16 to 18 September (in summer) and as you say it was 40 degrees. When you asked me to turn on the heating we were a bit perplexed, but we fulfilled your request. We turned on the heating remotely, the boiler started regularly but being set to summer it did not reach the 26 degrees you requested. In the house at 11 in the evening it was 21 degrees... in the morning you I warned that I would come by to change the boiler setting and let you have 26 degrees but you decided to leave. The house was at your disposal for 2 nights, you could have easily stayed.

Weinig geschikt als vakantieverblijf
Publié le 16 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayDe netheid is op het eerste zicht in orde. Als je in de kasten kijkt (vb. onder de gootsteen) is dit veel minder. Het verblijf is naderhand opgedeeld in 2 verblijven. Foto's geven ook beelden van zolderverblijf dat niet tot dit woondeel behoorde. 2 verblijven enkel gescheiden door standaard binnendeur die 'op slot is met binnensleutel'. Bijzonder veel lawaaihinder door medebewoners in ander gedeelte. Als zitgedeelte is enkel kapotte zitbank met TV achter je rug beschikbaar.
Salonruimte behoort nu tot ander verhuurd woongedeelte. De vorige toestand moet terug hersteld worden (1 woonentiteit) om functioneel te zijn als vakantieverblijf. Ook dan is er nog zeer veel lawaai van de buren.

Dear Bart, thank you for your review. I would like to point out that I personally take care of the cleaning and we check and sanitize every part of the house; the cupboard under the sink, next to the garbage bin is not dirty but there is a stain that does not go away. Furthermore, the apartment next door is on the upper attic floor, notice some noises it is very unlikely..Your accommodation is separate from the other and there is nothing in common, the internal door you speak of is safe and always remains locked.The sofa bed is functional, the mechanism opening has no flaw, I made sure before writing that this was the case... perhaps with the term "broken sofa" you simply meant to refer to the balcony on the side which has a slightly damaged covering... furthermore in the description of the accommodation and It was clearly indicated what the apartment included which has an external porch, a kitchen with living area, 2 bedrooms (a small bedroom and a double bedroom) and a large bathroom with shower, a small garden and a garage.
