Weekend Getaway!

I booked this place for the weekend, it was very easy to commute, took the Neeta Volvo from Mumbai and it just drops you outside at the gate of Saj Resort(you can do the same while departing from here - also the resort staff is very helpful the can assist you with the bookings as well)
On reaching the reception the staff was very warm and courteous and immediately took us to our rooms and the room was absolutely FAB(Luxury AC Room) !
Points to be noted - The rooms provided to us were very clean and organised, along with nice and clean washrooms.
Room service was up-to the mark, and the food was veg - and sumptuous. They also have an in-house bar which is slightly on the higher-side. The overall property is quite spacious and very well maintained(check the pics attached)
I would definitely recommend this place to couples or families or if you just want to take timeout from city life and enjoy a nice peaceful getaway!

No mountain view from hotel

a mismatch in value and faclities

Pour : Excellent ambience . Sitting space / swings outside rooms.
Very co-operative staff.
Lot of facilities.
Contre : May be they can reduce the spa charges .
The current rates of Spa are pretty high.
Reducing spa charges will increase footfall in Spa .
Emplacement : Lot of things , GO Kartiing , All terrain Vehicle , boating , etc.
We had gone to Mahabaleshwar to celebrate our parents Golden Anniversary.
The staff had gone out of their way to make our stay memorable.
We had ordered for two cakes , both of which were much better than our expectation.
We had requested them to arrange a Bon Fire and a Buffet Dinner for us at the lawn.
Everything was arranged in no time and they did not charge us anything extra for these.
Every day there is a movie and in the evening there is some music program to keep you entertained.
The breakfast menu is also excellent an there is a change of menu everyday. ]
I will strongly recommend SAJ Resort to all visiting Mahabaleshwar.
The Resort Manager and all other staff are very courteous and warm.

Hotel room was not clean by the time I reach to hotel. Although, it was cleaned immediately. Overall experience was good. cafe food was ok and expensive.

Away, yet right in the middle

Contre : The food menu could be elaborated for a bit more variety. Attention to the little details (eg. We didn't have a room service menu in the room)
We checked into one of their luxury rooms for 3 nights. The room was spacious, clean, and, as is the case with most hotels of this class, had all the regular amenities like complimentary bottles of water, a hot water kettle with tea and coffee pouches, etc. The effort taken to beautify the hotel is palpable, with well curated landscapes, pool and spa.
The first half of our stay was disappointing as far as the food was concerned. Both the a'la carte and buffet selections turned out to be bland, and all dishes were similar to each other, with the same gravy and flavours. A big disappointment was the puppet show organised by the hotel, which my kid was eager to watch. The show started 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time and by the time we came over to watch the show, the puppeteer had packed off. There was no satisfactory reply forthcoming when we questioned about the change in schedule, which by the way, hadn't been informed to us.
The second half of the stay was way better, with all our complaints being considered. The food improved dramatically. The hotel also made sure that there was a repeat of the puppet show the next day. All this while, the F&B and Housekeeping staff were extremely courteous and proactive. They made sure that mistakes were corrected and not repeated, a sure sign of great service
Everything considered, I would surely recommend this hotel for a short, no frills stay if you are on a vacation to Mahabaleshwar.
