This is my opinion and experience staying at this hotel, the positive is it’s near the city centre and the hotel is clean. This is not enough for me to want to go for a repeat stay. The hotel has a strict 2pm check in policy, I would advise they list this in their bio so not to give false hope to potential customers. I had a wedding that started at 3pm, I did contact the property with the opportunity to check in early they said not likely as they are a motor inn and they need to clean the property. They said I could try and come in early to see but unlikely. I wanted to cancel but unknowingly there was a car show on during that period so places were booked out or extremely over priced. We decided to keep the booking and try our luck. We arrived a bit early but the hotel door to reception was locked and I was met with an abrupt man. That was just weird. Anyway, we came back at 2pm to check in. This time the couple seemed nice but I didn’t want to have a conversation just the room key as I needed to get dressed and rush to the wedding. That is my check in experience, here is my experience on Check out. Check out is at 10am, we had booked x2 rooms we left to get breakfast and returned at 9:40am to get our bags and all the hotel room doors were wide open. Our bags were exposed to anybody to walk in and take our belongings. We didn’t check out, according to policy we had until 10am. If you have a strict 2pm check in why not keep the same policy for check out at 10am.

Hi Maria,Thanks for the awesome review, you left some very important facts out.On your booking confirmation it does state 2pm check in, not 11 or 12 when you did turn up. We weren't abrupt, we advised that the rooms aren't ready and check in is 2pm. We weren't aware you had an entitlement to turn up early, without notice, and expect our team to drop everything for you. Sorry we didn't want to put our staff under pressure to ensure you had time for your 3pm wedding (2pm check in time is ample time to get to the wedding) and also advised reception that you didn't need to get ready as you were already!!. Overpriced, you paid for a twin room, which the rate is normal, in fact we are one of the best properties in town and are busy all the time, as you would have seen! Also you forgot to mention, as one of your rooms wasn't ready, we still gave you the key so when it was you could go straight in. Oh, additionally you forgot to mention you were all dressed ready for the wedding. Upon check out, your keys were left in the room, you didn't take them with you, you packed all the bags before you left. When guests leave and bags are put in the car and everyone leaves, this is a signal that you are gone. Your bags were not exposed, there was a Myer bag in the room only. Also you didn't even come to reception to question anything if you had a problem, and you left nothing personal in the room, and you came back after 10am. We appreciate, as you said your opinion, however your opinion are not the true facts that happened. For future reference, be a bit more respectful of businesses policies and maybe a bit of communication would help your experience.

Smallish rooms, but good extras such as toaster, microwave and crockery. The closeness of the restaurant was an easy decision.
