First of all it is clear that this hotel is far from 5 stars. While the rooms (in fact cottages) are not bad (4/5 for me) and the hotel staff is very friendly (5/5 for me) the breakfast choice was dissatisfying (3/5 for me). The offer of fruit juices was limited to 2, while one always was watermelon and the other changed between mango and pineapple. The overall selection (fresh eggs, other English breakfast items) was o.k., but the offered variety was far from other 5 Star hotels I ever visited. There was as well a issue with small biting animals in the family pool. I don’t know whether this has been corrected after complaining because we were afterwards using the adults pool. Due to the nearby creek the beach is quite dirty and can’t be really used. There is not much nearby, so be prepared to have a drive of at least 15 minutes to Malindi restaurants. The restaurant was o.k. to good when eating á la carte but certainly not on 5 star Niveau. The prices for food and drinks were on the other hand reasonable. The evening buffet was never tempting. We were staying over New Year and the accommodation prices asked for were out of this world and in no relation to the services provided. So the hotel might be recommendable when you get good rates, you want to get a clean and quite comfortable room and want to hang out at the adult pool.

Dear Mr. Raphael,Thank you for your honest feedback on you holiday experience during your stay with us.Thank you for your positive remarks and for the rest below is our feedback.We have addressed most of the issues stated.•On the matter of juice variety during breakfast, we usually offer 2 types of juices but we have addressed this with the Chef to have more varieties every day. •Regarding the beach, there is no creek anywhere near the hotel, the hotel is on a long extensive beach. Sabaki River drains it’s water to the Ocean about 5 kilometres from the facility. Sometime when it rains upcountry It brings out all the dirt off shore. We have a cleaning programme of the beach through the community stakeholders and the hotel staff. •Regarding the insects in the pool, we investigated but we could not find anything but all the same we contacted our pest control company and the pool was retreated.•The distance from the hotel to the first restaurant in town in 1.9 Kilometres that is about 5-7 minutes. But also this depends on the restaurant one is looking for. We have always been honest with the hotel location which can also be found by anyone on google map.•Festive rates are always slightly high due to the demand and the services offered unlike the normal season.During the stay our guest relations and the related staff are always available in case of any requirements to make your holiday more comfortable. Clean atmosphere. Great customer service. I had a flight late in the evening they let me hang around until time to leave for the airport. Staff were very understanding. Constantly followed up to ensure I was ok. I would definitely go back

Very quaint place with a very private beach. The spa and massage was amazing. If your looking for party night life I wouldn't recommend and the food was good but not great but otherwise the staff and cleanliness was top notch.
